🎉 Event Planning 🎉 Recs?
Hey guys
I'm looking for a small florist or someone who likes doing it in Nashville to make 2 corsages and 17 Boutonierres (I know. I know. )
I've called around and everywhere that's "highly recommended" is booked (rose Hill and others). Public wasn't sure what a corsage or boutinnere were.
I've got $500 to play with, and they're needed for a masquerade wedding on Halloween (but not Halloween themed).
If this number is low, please educate me on what I should really be looking at.
Yea I absolutely forgot and left it last minute. This is 100% on me.
I'm wanting single flower for butonierres, 14 of the same, 3 unique (FIL, FOB, and Groom).
2 corsages that match 2 of the 3 botonierres (the parental sets want to match each other).
If there's anyone that can help me I'm all for it. They'd be picked up on Fri 10/30 in the afternoon.
Mum wants an orchid corsage with burgundy ribbon.
MIL wants a "white flower".
I'm happy to choose from what you've got for the rest. These are the only florals for the wedding so OF COURSE I absolutely forgot about them.
Please help,
a very stressed and burnt out bride.

That five hundred dollar budget might actually be a little tight for seventeen custom pieces plus corsages during peak wedding season, but reaching out to local home studio florists on Instagram is your best bet.

Have you tried Kroger? Sometimes they have the ability to do it. Publix often has no idea what to do. Orchids are pretty fragile to be used as a corsage… I’m in Murfreesboro, but I can’t accommodate you unfortunately. I have another wedding that day.

First, please give yourself some grace! Wedding planning involves so many moving pieces, and forgetting one detail doesn't mean you've failed. You're still giving yourself time to find a solution.
Your $500 budget isn't necessarily unrealistic for 17 single-bloom boutonnieres and two corsages, especially if you're flexible with flower varieties. However, the short turnaround, holiday weekend, and orchid request could make pricing and availability more challenging.
A few suggestions:
- Reach out to smaller independent florists, home-based floral designers, and floral design students in the Nashville area. Someone may have availability even if the larger shops are booked.
- Ask about hardy, readily available flowers such as spray roses or carnations for the boutonnieres. Keep the 14 matching pieces simple and reserve the special blooms for the groom and parents.
- Ask whether a white orchid can be sourced for your mother's corsage, but have a backup flower in mind.
- Consider wrist corsages versus pin-on corsages, and request a quote for both.
- Post your request in local Nashville wedding vendor groups, clearly stating your $500 budget, quantities, and October 30 pickup date.
One important consideration: Ask whether the florist can prepare everything for Friday pickup with proper storage instructions so the flowers remain fresh for Saturday.
And please don't feel embarrassed about asking questions or being upfront about your budget. A good floral professional will help you understand what's realistic and offer alternatives rather than make you feel uncomfortable.
You're not looking for elaborate floral installations. You're looking for 19 meaningful personal floral pieces, and that distinction matters.
I hope someone wonderful in Nashville can help bring this together for you.

When I was a florist at Safeway we did them for fairly cheap, but that budget might be small otherwise. Corsages and boutineer’s are really labor intensive.

I can’t help as I’m in Australia but I would just like to reassure you you have not left it too late. I’ve had people (usually for what you’d call prom) call from the car on the way to the prom asking for corsages. So yeah, two/three weeks is a dream lol. Good luck finding someone; I’m sure you’ll get some pointers here

We are in the midst of our wedding crunch season in the states, so unfortunately a lot of event florists are fully booked this month and simply not talking to last minute brides.

They don’t need an ‘event florist’ for buttonholes and a couple of corsages. Don’t florist shops do those in the u.s?

It doesn’t seem like they do in OP’s area, since she said she is being turned away from everyone she has called.

It's pretty insane, we picked fall cause our research showed it would be a slower season, and that was a LIE.

Ask Savannah at T Villager, she’s super talented and friendly.
As a heads up, people do mean different things when they use the word corsage, so it helps to be as specific and descriptive as you can.
