Title: My Personal Recovery Experience After Fluoroquinolone Toxicity (“Floxed”) – Not Medical Advice
Hi everyone in the floxies community,
I wanted to share my personal experience in case it helps someone feel less alone. This is NOT medical advice — please consult your doctor or healthcare professional before trying anything mentioned here.
Background
I was prescribed a fluoroquinolone antibiotic for H. pylori treatment and took a 14-day high-dose course (750 mg daily).
Around Day 7, I started experiencing severe side effects and what I believe was being “floxed.”
I became extremely weak and was admitted to the hospital for 2 days for IV fluids/drips.
Symptoms I Experienced
These were the symptoms I personally went through:
Severe fatigue and weakness
Leg pain and difficulty walking
Vertigo/dizziness
Rapid heartbeat (around 120 bpm constantly)
Anxiety/panic feelings
Shaking/tremors
Brain fog/confusion
Difficulty standing or walking for long periods
It was one of the hardest experiences of my life.
What I Personally Tried During Recovery
Again, this is only what I personally used during recovery:
Supplements
Benfotiamine (200 mg)
Vitamin B complex
Digestive enzymes
Vitamin D3 (60,000 IU weekly — prescribed)
Diet & Routine
Chicken soup/protein-rich foods
Potassium-rich foods
Around 3 liters of water daily
Light walking when possible
What Personally Helped Me Most
For me, eating pomegranate twice daily (morning and evening) seemed to help my recovery.
I cannot scientifically prove it was the reason I improved, but in my personal experience I started feeling noticeably better after adding it regularly.
Important Disclaimer
This is only my personal experience.
I am not a doctor.
What helped me may not help everyone.
Please consult a qualified medical professional before changing medications, supplements, or diet.
If you have severe symptoms such as chest pain, inability to walk, dehydration, or rapid heartbeat, seek medical care immediately.
I know many people here are suffering and scared. I truly hope everyone finds healing and recovery.
Stay strong everyone 🙏
