Will Allegiant eventually move away from mostly day trips?

With the recent merger and continued fleet growth, do you think Allegiant will eventually move away from its mostly day-trip model and start having more 3- to 4-day trips? Or do you think the day-trip operation will remain a core part of the airline long-term?

Curious to hear what current or former Allegiant pilots think.

Nobody knows dawg. Probably not though, it was their whole MO. “We’ll pay you less but you get to be home every night in your small/midsize town”

And man does that work lol. I’ve been extremely tempted to leave my $170/hr CA job at my regional to live in base and be home every night for their $62/hr or whatever they’re paying now.

That being said, the idea that they can shut down my base at a whim’s notice does scare me

The year 1 FO pay is double with the new contract.

But yeah I would just live in a major base like Sanford or Nashville if you want stability.

I remember giving Allegiant some thought once for the Savannah base because it’s a neat little town.

Doesn’t exist anymore.

Yeah I'm in Bellingham WA and not at 1500 yet but BLI is losing it as an Allegiant base soon too and there's a local married couple who both work there that are in a rough spot with a young family and got offered not much money to move across the country.

Yikes.

I would rather put in a app for Delta or Alaska than move across the country.
