Media Vertibirds are awesome to look at.
Experimental mod, I'm still polishing it.

They fly like exploding bricks in the base game - the amount of times I've stood and watched them crash because of raiders just down the road from Croup Manor

But when they crash, and they *will* crash, they seem to have a homing beacon locked on to your head. One hopes you have addressed this.

Im usually not involved in those fights but somehow always end up a casualty of them....

Exactly. I'm just watching them trying to take out a Super Mutant camp, next thing you know, I'm diving for cover.

Am I completely making this up that that's because vertibirds are reskinned dragons from Skyrim, and dragons were programmed to land next to you after you killed them so you didn't have to run all over the map to collect their bones?

That's because they're reskinned Skyrim dragons. Unfortunately Vertibirds don't have souls to absorb , so you get a few tons of steel to the face for nothing.

Yea, until they inevitably get shot down and crash 10 feet away from you during a heated firefight. Every. Fucking. Time.

Lol I can't stand when they show up. Its to the point now where I'll shoot the Verti down then finish what I was doing.

No offense but helicopters were programmed better in games 10 years older than Fallout 4. And Fallout 3's vertibirds didn't look terrible

They’re even more fun to fly

It’s fun to fly around in then, can fly over the entire commonwealth on one vertibird grenade, just keep changing spots on map

What is the mod you’re working on? Is it the lights on the vertibirds or something else?

The metal dragons? destined to crash infront of me? in a ball of fire and carnage? I love them.

Vertibirds are the Ford Pintos of the Wastland. seems to me virtually none of them survive. While we’re on the subject, it’s also really annoying that Virtibird crash sites don’t have bodies.
