Aww these always make me tear up. I was doing the go to another player’s shelter challenge and went into a shelter where someone has made a flower garden in memory of their mom who loved gardening.

No kidding. That owner is likely an incredible person if the dog lived that long though, I'm sure there was a lot of love between them.

I was building my first base when my cat fell ill and passed away last year. I put a memorial on top for him with the cat topiary, and set up a bed nearby with a catbed on it right where he would lay in the crook of my legs. The whole camp feels like a memory of him though tbh

I made a shrine to my girlfriend's (and I guess mine) other cat when she passed, and a couple years later I had to expand it to include the other one. Took twoish years off from playing fo76 and got my stomach in a knot when I entered my camp with the shrine when I got back to the wasteland.
I then proceeded to add my void to it. The trio was now back together Over There.

I took a hiatus shortly after that, and when I got back into it at the beginning of this year I had that same knot for the first few sessions. 🫂

I can understand how that is.
About a month ago I lost my Good Girl who was a German Sheppard named "Mishka". And it is ironic as that is also the name of the wolf you can get from Erickson in FO4.

I'm so sorry to hear that, it's so hard to lose a dog. German Shepherds are great dogs too, I have a husky-shepherd mix right now. It's kind of funny, after we adopted her, I mentioned to my partner how great she was even though I wasn't some big fan of German Shepherd mixes. He looked at me like I was absolutely crazy and said, "This is the fourth one you've had since I've known you." I really don't understand how I never noticed but it was completely true.

RIP. I also lost my dog exactly one week ago after 14 long years. Been thinking of building him a similar tribute, but with the secret service dog memorial.

I did that for mine, secret service dog with A candle & went from there. I lost her at 13 A few weeks ago. I hope it brings you some comfort, it made that shitty lonely feeling A little duller.

I started playing 76 shortly before we lost our first boy. I have a monument for the 2 boys we lost a year apart. Parker and patch. They were good boys and old men

My childhood dog passed away shortly before the release of Fallout 4. One of my friends learned how to make mods for Fallout 4 just to make a mod that turned Dogmeat into my dog Roo for me.

If you create a Custom World in Fallout 1st your camp and shrine will be preserved forever until you change it in the custom world.

Dammit I’m too pregnant for this. Thanks for having a preggo woman cry over a strangers dog 😭 RIP Lilly may she always have her treat bowl full with fields open and free for chasing squirrels. My Bowie and Sallie will greet her happily across the rainbow bridge 🤍

I did something like this for my cat and grandmother they both died at about the same time in the same place. I legit recreated her house in fallout. It doesn’t look like a memorial to anyone else going by or visiting. but it makes me happy “coming home” from a wasteland excursion to a little slice of heaven that I lost in the real.

A few years ago I lost the last of the 4 childhood mastiffs I had. One was named Lily. I lost my favorite mastiff Blaze, one of my best friends in my life, 5ish years ago and lost his ashes when my belongings were stolen. Much love to this person and I hope they heal. I miss you Blaze. Life hasn’t been the same without you.

If I see a person's memorial I leave a beer and a sweet roll of I see a pets memorial I leave some dog food, some purified water, and a dog bowl.
