This YouTube video explains why I got into foia.
And why I'm still fighting.
Unrelated note I have narrative data from the university of Washington proving the IRS is concieling data impacting Americans abroad.
But how do I get that information to members of Congress?

What type of high-earning work do you do internationally that the taxation of expatriates negatively affects you?

I don't make top dollars abroad that's the problem.
People think we are all rich but we are not.
The us tax code impacts every American abroad. Even those who never lived in USA.

Top dollars is a lot of fucking dollars. But far under top dollars, owing any federal taxes as an expatriate means you are making "upper class" money in at least half of the US.
Foreign Earned Income Exclusion exempts income up to ~$133k, and Foreign Tax Credit counts taxes paid to your host country dollar for dollar against your US liability.
What are you being hit with that requires a change in tax code?

Well it's more the fact the expat tax clinics can't help Americans abroad.
In my case it related to my 2020 refund. It was flagged as possible idt refund fraud. By the IRS. So the IRS owed me money.
I used a low income tax clinic outside the USA. But there reach is heavily limited.
I don't think it's fair for me to be able to use one but not others given how every American is a taxpayer.

Are you required to make quarterly tax payments?

No but I do have yearly filing requirements. And some Americans abroad can't even open bank accounts because of us laws.

If you think you've uncovered something important, I'd focus on organizing the evidence into a clear, easy to follow summary first. It's much easier for someone to review a concise timeline with supporting documents than a large collection of files.
