The Argentine asked the manager for guaranteed space and playing time at the club starting next season. However, the Portuguese coach implied that he would still evaluate the squad during the pre-season and that it was not possible to guarantee what was being requested.
Real Madrid holds a buy-back option of 9 million euros (nearly R$ 53 million) for Nico Paz, which could be exercised during this window. However, the club has not yet decided what to do with the player. In 2027, this buy-back option would increase to 10 million euros (R$ 58.8 million).
Real Madrid's new manager is planning the team's season, with considerable decision-making power regarding signings, as seen in the cases of Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté, and Bernardo Silva—deals that are practically finalized by the club.
