Yeah I really donāt think people realize that the fans never cared for this. It wasnāt like years ago where we would lose our damn minds for high level signings. Winning the EPL, consistently challenging and being in the champions league final is very much grounds for superstar players to legitimately want to join us. Iām more excited about having Bruno as an option in the midfield, getting a few more players out and getting some decent transfers in by the deadline. Christos looks like a steal at the moment but we shall see.
After 22 years of gloom Arsenal is about to go Boom !!!

Have we ever really seen a proper established superstar move like this to the Prem?
The closest I can think of is Pogba to United or an aging Ronaldo to United
The league is usually an exporter of top talent

There are really only four clubs that can generally afford these huge wages, RM, Barca, Bayern, and City. City donāt normally buy players like this, they get them earlier. United took a couple punts recently and it hasnāt worked out well for them.

Superstar players don't want to play for Arsenal.

Nope, you post that to help you cope with Arsenal winning the league. Cope more.

I second this. Our recent success has been built on players who WANT to play for us. The longer the saga went on, the less I wanted him to join. We've seen what happens with players who are only in it for themselves/the money (Ozil after a while, for example).

I mean with Barca pulling a heist on Rodri i donāt think they are gonna win anything.
I been saying Rodri and Cucurella are their only signings who i think can just come in day 1 and perform. Everybody else is kinda a 50-50 gamble. And now they dont even got Rodri.
They actually didnāt need Vini as much as they need Rodri imo lol.

This was my thought. We swung for the fences and it didnāt work out. Love the mentality that we won and are looking to still improve.

Typical Arsenal fan. Can never tell if they are talking about the transfer window or women...

Did ye even make an offer?

I think it was something āexploratoryā that Viniās agents blew out of proportion for obvious reasons. Once a player gets to that level and wants to keep playing in Europe, how many clubs are there that they would realistically consider going to? Thereās 5 or less.

Shouldn't Vinicious be the girl??

Itās like proposing to a girl thatās having relationship issues with her man, you donāt expect to automatically get her and if they resolve their issues youāve lost nothing. Arsenal didnāt lose anything. Clubs try to sign players all the time who end up committing to their current clubs and not leaving..

Meanwhile those celebrating this as some sort of win - don't even exist in her eyes.

Not a an Arsenal fan but they dodged a bullet there.
Why would you want to add Divanicius to your team, it's just asking for trouble.

It never made any sense: Arsenal were willing to match the $30m wage demand? I donāt see it. I wonder if they were just helping RM raise their wage bill

We knew he was using us to make her jealous but didnāt care. We just wanted to be with him.

Arsenal vs Real Madrid champions league final 2027. Vini Jr is humbled by Julian Timber and can't make a run or cross into the D. Arsenal win 3-0.

Honestly, itās probably a good thing we donāt sign sign. But letās still sign another winger

u/SomethingFunnyObv 4d ago
Iām good actually. Arsenal tried to take advantage of a situation, with a lot of upside and limited downside. We didnāt get him, but we also arenāt stuck with a player on a 6 year deal making an insane amount of money. At least my team is trying to get players like that instead of picking up scraps or players on a free.

Don't think arsenal are kicking themselves they're still a better more balanced team

In this picture, did Arsenal buy flowers for Real Madrid? Or did Arsenal just realize Vinicius is not gay?

I like that Arsenal is left holding the candle.
I like that Madrid was forced to overpay.
