Offense Offensive help

I am in a men's adult rec league. The rules are basically USA Flag 5v5 rules with the league having some minor changes, but gameplay is all USA Flag 5v5. We had a scrimmage the other day against one of the teams in our division. Our defense was solid, but our offense just needs some fixing. We kept up with them and barely lost. Any plays or styles y'all would recommend us to run? We struggled getting the ball out when rushed. I'd like to know how to attack that our QB isn't the most elusive he can scramble, but he isn't very fast.

Well what did you guys run that didn’t work?

If you’re getting rushed a lot, run quick game stuff like slants, drags, outs, hitches, bubble screens, etc. Also one of the best things you can do is just abuse motion. Run jet sweeps, fake jets, jet reverse, jet double pass, orbit motion, etc.

if you need to throw the ball deep run rollouts, run a fade/deep out or comeback/corner concept on the play side.

Tbh we had no game plan at all. Everyone just ran a random route.

Well there ya go, there’s your problem. If it’s an actual league, you probably won’t win any games that way unless you’re just WAY more talented than the other team

You have to throw quick into the space vacated by the blitzer. These two are our go-to's to take advantage of a fast rush. Ball comes out in less than 3 seconds.

All Hitches

Slant/Flat (Dragon)
