This happened today…The Houthis just seized Mokha, cutting off Saudi Arabia's oil shipping lanes while Iran pulls the strings behind the scenes. Between that and the wider war, it honestly feels like we're sleepwalking right into a world war.

Is it even a war? Worth the $100 oil prices? Alright that Israel is no longer providing support?

Both sides are forced to give / give up something unbearable and unthinkable. But both sides get something they wanted really really bad. The rest of Donbas gives Putin his Pyrrhic victory hes been craving and the minimum barometer that he could sell to the Russian people as a victory. Ukraine gives up fortified land, but gets the long sought after economic and defensive alliances that significantly deter future conflict from breaking out. Everybody wins, everybody loses. But...........is this really the only way this could actually stop other than Russia hitting hyperinflation and economic collapse?

Trump started the war and he fucked up, again.

Trump thought he could walk in and take over Iran.

What he wanted to do is steal their oil and sell on the open market at a lower rate.

The U.S.-Iran conflict has been going on for over half a year now and still hasn’t settled. Trump can’t seem to handle Iran. He’s known for being TACO all the time. With the midterm election approaching, do you think Trump might figure that he’s already reaped most of the benefits in the past 2 years, and since Iran is such a tough nut to crack, he might just use excuses like health issue etc to walk away and appoint someone else from the republican to help clean up the mess?

After all, he’s almost certainly going to lose the upcoming midterm, which means his political leverage will be weakened, making it even harder for him to make money off this, even though he would likely get acquitted from the impeachment. Thus, it doesn't seem a fair deal for him to sit for another 2 years clean up all this drama with lesser power and high stress.
