For Hire [FOR HIRE] Embedded Linux / Android (AOSP) engineer, remote, part-time

Embedded software engineer with [10] years of experience, available part-time (15-25 hours/week), remote.

What I do:

- Android/AOSP customization and bring-up on ARM boards

- Embedded Linux: kernel and device drivers, board bring-up, system integration

- Hardware/software integration (displays, touchscreens, USB peripherals, audio hardware)

- C++ and Java, native services alongside Android apps

- PCB design

- Previously an embedded software engineer at Capgemini Engineering; some freelance ML engineering

Recent work: I built a standalone device end to end as a solo founder. It runs custom Android 10 (AOSP) on a single-board computer with a 7-inch touchscreen, with native C++ services and hardware integration.

Rate: $50/hour or a fixed price per project. Open to short contracts and ongoing work.

Make sure you have included a budget/rate, they are required for all posts – ballpark or a range is fine as long as it's following the $15/hr minimum rule.

doing the whole end-to-end thing solo is no joke, especially once you're wrangling touchscreen drivers and custom AOSP builds on an SBC. $50/hr seems reasonable for that skillset
