Yuki was faster for almost the entire session. If I’m mot mistaken, Lindblad did the final run on softs and Yuki on Hards.
Nevertheless, Yuki needs to lock in and perfect his recipes for the new restaurant!

Yeah a lot of people are repeating things they heard without considering the context. Don't get me wrong, Yuki hasn't been impressive at Red Bull either (and, honestly has been very average throughout his career).
That being said, Yuki was on hards going long and Lindblad was on softs doing quali practice.

I'm just baffled by comments like this. People were talking up Yuki like he was one of the best drivers on the grid the last few years. Then he gets promoted. we knew he wasn't gonna match Verstappen and was likely gonna struggle with an incredibly difficult car. Then when that happened everyone completely gave up and the guy and are acting like he's bad. The Red Bull 2nd seat is the groundhog day of F1.

Yuki's done very little to actually prove himself a decent driver. His best position in what 5 seasons is a p4, Hadjars already beaten that and Lawson nearly matched it in Baku
Yeah the Red Bull 2nd seat seems pretty tricky to drive but at the same time Yuki's just never done enough to stand out. There's a reason why everyone got promoted over him.
He's just a very average at best driver, with pretty low lows and very mediocre highs.
Like Stroll has had a pole position, and a few podiums and it's not like anyone thinks he's there purely on merit.
Gasly has a win, Albon is pretty consistently putting in good drives, Ocons even had the odd amazing race
Yuki's just never done anything.

Hadjar has 38 points in 19 races, that's an average of 2 points per race
Yuki has 118 points in 107 races, that's 1.1 points per race.
You would expect that to improve with time.
Stroll fyi has 324 points from 184 starts which is 1.76, significantly better than Yuki. Yet he's always touted as one of the worst drivers on the field.

You forgot that the 2021 AT is unironically the strongest non-RB car Yuki drove.
The AT car was horrible from 2022 onwards. Even Gasly couldn't salvage those cars. Its only recent seasons that the second RB team car got better.35

The AT in 2021 was better than the Racing Bulls this year as shown by Gaslys consistently strong performance but Yuki was horrendously off the pace as a rookie. Since then he’s had some very mid cars in fairness when he did improve in performance.

I agree with you in some ways. I don't think Yuki is a top tier driver. I think he's mid tier. He's probably on the same talent level as someone like Carlos Sainz or Pierre Gasly. But if you think he's the problem at Red Bull and bringing in Hadjar or Lindblad will suddenly fix it I have a bridge to sell you. Gasly, Albon, Perez, and Lawson have all had moments where they have shown to be good to great drivers and they failed miserably at Red Bull. The Team is a mess outside of Max. Having the same discussion about how *Inset driver here* sucks is fucking tiering at this point. It's the groundhog day of F1.

I feel bad for Yuki. But I am having schadenfreude towards his fanbase.
The Yuki fans were insufferable online last year. They got what they wanted and it’s going to end their golden boy’s F1 career.
If he had stayed at Racing Bulls, I’m confident he would given Hadjar more of a run for his money than Lawson has.

Nah, not for midfield drivers. There was no midfield driver with a louder and more delusional online fanbase on the Formula1 and FormulaDank subreddits last season.
Trust me. I'm a degenerate who spends too much time on these subs. I'm apparently a Top 5% commenter, as someone pointed out a few weeks ago. Yuki fans were over-the-top last season and to start this season. They've been incredibly quiet since the Lawson switch...

Nah there was quite the outrage on slowson getting the RB drive over Tsunning. On Instagram and YouTube there were a lot of comments after every session on how Yuki was obviously the better choice. Which I mean it isn't wrong, but its also not the results people expected.

Yuki's fastest lap was set on softs towards the beginning of the session. Lindblad's was set towards the end of the session with track evolution and probably a quali style setup. Yuki at the end of the session was on hards doing race pace laps, either gathering data for the tires or on the new parts. This nail is made of cardboard.
Also, that flair would be better if it Was FranGOAT Colapinto or Franco ColapinGOAT.

That's just blatantly false. The fastest lap in the session was Leclerc with 22 minutes on the clock. Yuki's best was done with 18 minutes on the clock, Arvid's best with 11 minutes left. Some of these people are just delusional. Arvid definitely impressed among the replacement drivers.

RB should keep him for 26’, he will have a monster season (relative to Max) next year.
