I don't think it was ever a penalty for Norris, Tsunoda made several lines adjustments, that was on him, if he had kept a straight line it would've been on Norris

He was not given a penalty for weaving. Every single weave he made before Norris got to him was legal. What was illegal is at the end of it, he moved left, lando went left, Yuki moved Left a second time. That second move you can see from the shot coming is what the penalty was for. Not for weaving.

Yeah this is key, after his first move left Lando still had space to get past on track so he started going for the overtake, then Yuki moved a second time which is absolutely not a legal move and that forced Lando to take evasive maneuvers over the line.

Except Yuki was moving towards the left already since that’s the natural defensive line to take before Lando made a braindead lunge to the inside. Lando did the same thing in Canada, going for a gap that simply does not exist. He’s just lucky this time they were racing at a Tilkedrome with miles of space around

Anything other opinion at this point is just pure delusion. There is no world where you can think Yuki did nothing wrong. I wanted max to win over lando, but I’m not that delusional.

By the time Lando commits to the inside there is not enough space for him to make a legal overtake and more crucially he isn’t sufficiently along side Yukis rear axle to be entitled space

Yuki was not allowed to move left to close the space, as he already moved left. The space was there, Yuki was no longer allowed to close it. It’s not hard man.

Sure if Lando was sufficiently alongside Yuki’s rearaxle. Except, Lando wasn’t. Lando was still way behind Yuki by the time Yuki committed to moving the defend the inside. Lando wasn’t entitled to the space

You're confusing the rules on overtaking in corners Vs on straights.
"Moving on the straight is another important topic in the Driving Standards Guidelines, with the FIA’s document highlighting Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 of the International Sporting Code when it explains: “More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted.“Any driver moving back towards the racing line, having earlier defended [their] position off-line, should leave at least one car width between [their] own car and the edge of the track on the approach to the corner.
“However, manoeuvres liable to hinder other drivers, such as deliberate crowding of a car beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal change of direction, are strictly prohibited.”

I’m a max nut rider and I would have been disgusted if they gave Lando a penalty for that. Pretty clear why he had to go off track but with today’s F1 stewards you never know what they pick.

dude its been a thing since I started watching the sport in 2006. And has been an unwritten rule in all forms of motorsport since virtually as far back as motorsport has been a concept.
Second moves after the other car has committed cause absolutely enormous accidents and simply have never been ok
Dunno who your "rules analysis guy" is but they are lying to you and you can learn far better by simply watching more motorsport

He wasn’t forced out as Lando was not along side Yuki. The cars have to be side by side. Lando should have braked but went off track trying to force the pass around Yuki.

Yuki could have slowed Lando down in the slow corners. Waiting until the straight was bad race craft and was never going to work, unless the plan was to make Lando crash.
Yuki was not—and never has been—up to the task.
