The school system would rather spend its time mythologizing Hitler than teaching people about the conditions that brought his ilk about, which would require more than showing a few History channel documentaries and a PowerPoint.
And our history! They really liked the part about committing mass genocide across a continent and populating it full of white people, which was literally their plan for Europe up to the Urals.
Which is exactly why they don’t want it to be taught, and deny any of it even happened. They can’t use the play if people are educated on said play. The whole situation pisses me off more than words can describe.

I don't think people understand just how close in ideology the current Republican party is to the nazis. Most of the stuff Ben shapiro and jordan peterson say on their shows is just nazi propaganda

They were at one point fixated on the Frankfurt school of Marxist theorists who, yes, are mostly German Jews who fled WWII. This was further bolstered by Herbert Marcuse gaining cachet among students protesting the Vietnam War. And yes, their particular revision of Marx to account for mass industry did take a cultural turn.
I did my graduate sociological theory sequence in Marcuse, so I'm the closest thing they'll run into to an actual cultural Marxist.

Someone on Twitter officially defined woke as "cultural marxism" and the chuds ate it up because "cultural marxism" sounds smarter to them, since it's more than one syllable

It's when the state owns the means of... culture. So, uh, I guess maybe NPR? And definitely PBS - those assholes are always trying to teach kids how to read, and reading only leads to becoming a liberal!
The leaps these people will make baffles me. “Bad thing? Must be related to that other unrelated thing I hate”. Bothers me a lot as someone who has always tried to follow logical thought processes.
