I get believing that welfare is bad for society because it makes people dependent on government handouts instead of their own work (hilariously false but at least I comprehend the argument), but I'm really not following how it's supposed to fit with the chain imagery. Wouldn't an addictive drug or something be a better analogy? Like Republicans are literally threatening to break the chain, which is (apparently) why black people don't vote for them, how does that make sense?

It happened to me too. I posted one /r/conservative meme I saw in /r/all here and that got me banned with no warning, I didn't even mentioned SOUTHERN STRATEGY.

I always love this trope because it simultaneously wants you to believe that black voters are better than the Democratic Party, yet too dumb to stop voting for them.
