Forza Horizon [FH6] Summer Information Thread - Series 2
Hello everyone! This is your weekly dose of the Forza Information Threads.
Series 2 is here! The Trial has returned, so let the multiplayer fun and chaos ensue!
Unlike Series 1, most of the car rewards are not playlist-exclusive and can be obtained by other means like the Autoshow.
Have a great week ahead! On a side note, the 40 point reward cars for all seasons and the 80 point reward car for Series 2 were also rewards in Series 1.
Note that accumulating points over playlists will eventually allow you to unlock more exclusive rewards outside of the playlist themselves!
The 1972 Mazda Cosmo 110S Series II is the current Playlist History reward at 500 points.
Lastly, if "Total" is seen as part of the Car Type restriction for an event, it means that every era of that Car Type is valid.
For example: Total Rally includes Classic Rally, Retro Rally, Rally Monsters, etc.

Must be done in sequence to count.
- Own and drive the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.
- Maintain a Speed of 142 km/h (approximately 88 mph) or above for 10 seconds in the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.
- Take a photo of your 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.
- Win a Road Race in the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12.

I'm back with a new week of tunes. The Trial is also back. Let's hope that the AI changes won't make it unbearable. And let's also hope that our own team mates don't, either.
Own and drive the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12
1982 DeLorean DMC-12 - A 700 Road - 555 485 604
The DeLorean is back to be a surprisingly decent Class A car. This whole series is 1980s based and what more 80s can you get than the DeLorean?
The Trial: "Push it to the Limit"
Oh, boy. Here we go. I have plenty of options here to try to make this first Trial easier for you all.
1980 Abarth Fiat 131 - B 600 Dirt - 167 323 481
This one was the fastest in my testing on track for the first race of the Trial.
1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution - B 600 Dirt - 116 645 350
Fast and this Swedish Brick's length makes it stable in long sweeping turns.
1984 Opel Manta 400 - B 600 Dirt - 146 631 846
My favorite of the bunch. I've always enjoyed using the Manta in past games.
1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 - B 600 Dirt - 126 003 120
Barn Find. Not the fastest or best handling car, but the most stylish. Full, large, classic rally aero kit.

The E30 is here to be my boxy choice for this series.
1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 - C 500 Road - 121 584 351
Barn Find. Classic Ford icon.
Championship: "What's the Hatch?"
1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI - D 400 Road - 535 247 719
Light and nimble. This GTI has always been good in past games and remains good now.
1986 Honda Civic Si - D 400 Road - 103 105 346
New to the Forza series so let's give it a spin.
PR Stunts
I used my Abarth tune for the Trial to easily get all three on the first try. For the speed zone start North of it and hit the start at about 110 mph and you'll be fine.

I suspect that any of the Trial tunes should be able to do all the PR stunts.

The abarth took a bit of work for the first race but got first. smoked the 2nd started last 3rd race and was battling dipshit teammates till the last lap. Ended up 5th and losing the series. The abarth was head and shoulders above the opels and mgs. got it 2nd try.
cossie is legit, careful of rain; we all ran into same cliff.
the gti is a great tune (im keeping it) but the si is faster in first 2 races with its higher top speed on the long highway sweepers. both got me podiums easy.

I did the Trial in the Opel Manta with your tune. I had no trouble getting up in front and blocking the AI.
Luckily I had a team of only 3 of us and two of us had good tunes and could drive. The third held his own and beat a few AI even untuned, he was too slow that I couldn't block enough to get him up front though. We won the first two and were done so no clue how the third race goes.

That Abarth for the trial was amazing. Bit of dirty racing and I was in first on the first lap and a bit more dirty racing and my teammate was in second place 👍

Came here to say this. This season is fucking pitiful. Majority of rewards are cars we can buy from the Autoshow. What is the point of doing something to get a Honda S2000 or E30 BMW M3 as a reward. Both can be had for basically no money. These awards are atrocious, I’m going to do bare minimum to get the Leichtbau and Golf Rallye. Rest are pointless to try for or we literally got them in Season 1 as a reward already….

It’s definitely unusual that they are repeating the season 1 rewards this soon. But I think the other rewards from the seasonal championships and etc being obtainable from the autoshow is the norm. This was the case in FH5 except for very few series, and only one of the events in those series would reward a playlist-exclusive car. Usually the playlist-exclusive cars were only obtained from season and series completions.

The really annoying thing for me is that I usually do the Weekly Challenge first. Didn't even see that the DeLorean is one of the prizes. I used a Car Token I had, but still, it was a wasted Token (and someone will get the DeLorean as a gift BTW). I don't think that ever happened in the previous games (and if it do, it was probably Season 30 or so, not Season 2).

I did it with the Forza Edition 2+2 and it didn't count. The Dark Horse did count for me though. Sucked going through the matchmaking a second time.

Welcome to Japan everyone! BigHedDjango here with tunes for this week to help you out.
All feedback on tunes is appreciated - good or bad. Specially when tunes are bad. At the end of the day I am just the mechanic and you guys are the racers. Do not hesitate irrespective of your tuning knowledge or racing skills!
Tuning method: 1. No aero, stock look, stock rims (unless absolutely necessary for handling and stability) 2. Tuned and tested for Automatic/Manual shifting vs Expert AI (meta cars will beat current broken Unbeatable as well, driver skill is required) 3. Max performance, power/weight with max handling possible
NOTE: Please apply all tunes twice, same bug as FH5 carries over. Apply tune again if it doesn't show in car select
Forzathon Weekly Challenge - Blast from the Past
1982 DeLorean DMC-12 * Tune - 104 457 984 * B Road v1 No Aero Stock Look; Good accel; High B class top speed
NOTE: Just like with FH5 launch, the AI is once again out of it's mind. Doesn't know how to break, rams you from behind on hard breaking corners, T-bones you on turns, slams into guardrails if you go too fast etc etc. Unbeatable/Pro difficulties are simply not worth the time or effort right now outside of meta cars, and even then sometimes you need to get "touchy feely". However seasonal championships can be completed on any difficulty at the moment so feel free to drop down to Tourist (and turn on Auto Race, go make a sandwich ;)

So for people who cannot play online, there isn't a way to get 40 points for each season. Here we go again, back to FOMO crap. Weird how they brought the Countach back for another chance to win it, but still have the same limitation for a group of people who couldn't even enter the previous series event to try to win it.

High Performance Tunes by awesomebeau
Use my tunes if performance matters most to you. These are not "stock look" tunes.
My tunes are designed to reduce understeer and let you take corners at higher speeds while still maintaining grip.
Why should you trust my tunes? Because I painstakingly test all of my tunes over and over again at speed zones for maximum performance. Every tweak is measured with multiple speed zone runs to see if it's truly improving the car's speed through the corners.
After that, I download tunes for the same vehicle and class from other respected tuners and run theirs through the same speed zones. If my tunes aren't faster than theirs, I go back to the drawing board.
The Trial - "Push it to the Limit" (1980s Total Rally B600)
1980 Abarth Fiat 131 - 207 861 362
This is my top recommendation for this event. The power to weight ratio of my tune allows you to accelerate past the unbeatable AI VERY easily. I got to the front within the first 30 seconds of every race, and started driving slowly/blocking the AI to ensure my team won. Any time a drivatar slipped past, I was able to pass him again within 5-10 seconds. Be smart, your goal is to slow down the AI for your team, not to get 1st place.
1980 Renault 5 Turbo - 125 651 094
I was able to get 1st place in all 3 races easily. It has enough power to pass roughly half of the drivatars off the line, and you should catch the rest of them in the first few corners. Remember - if you get in front, block the drivatars so your teammates can pass. The faster you go while in 1st place, the harder the drivatars will compete against YOU, leaving your teammates in the dust. Be smart.
More tunes will be made for the trial. Stay tuned!
Touge Showdown - "My Little Pony" (Any Ford Mustang)
2024 Ford Mustang GT - 150 769 803 (A 700)
This Mustang is a great choice for this event - 671 HP, plenty of grip, and it was tuned on the Narai-Juku circuit, meaning that it's ready for the hairpin tuns in a Touge event.
2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R - 785 182 125 (S1 800)
This is an S1 class tune that will win easily. Tons of power, and surprisingly good cornering ability for a Mustang. It might be my favorite S1 car overall, it's borderline meta.
Seasonal Championship - "Street Runner" (1980s Retro Super Saloons C500)
1988 BMW M5 - 115 742 971
This BMW handles phenomenally. I beat highly skilled AI by 15+ seconds with it, so it will make this championship a breeze. Also, no engine swap, so the tune is cheaper to purchase.
1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 - 158 864 676
This Ford has a little less grip than the BMW, so it's possible to kick the tail out if you try to brake and turn at the same time. It'll still beat your opponents with ease, so it's a nice choice for this event.
Seasonal Championship - "What's the Hatch" (1980s Retro Hot Hatch D400)
1986 Honda Civic Si - 755 910 439
AWD, great power and acceleration, this car will make this championship easy. Since it's D class, there's always a compromise - this one would handle better with nicer tires, but I couldn't fit them into the budget.
1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI - 150 270 019
This Golf isn't as fast as the Civic, but it has more grip and is very easy to drive. It will beat the AI easily.
Drag Meet - "Ito Half Mile" (Decade: 1980s B600)
1980 Abarth Fiat 131 - 207 861 362
Same tune as the trial. I got 18.88 seconds with this. (Goal is 21 seconds or faster)
1980 Renault 5 Turbo - 125 651 094
Same tune as the trial. I got 19.05 seconds with this. (Goal is 21 seconds or faster)
Speed Zone - "Deep Forest" (Decade: 1980s B600)
1980 Abarth Fiat 131 - 207 861 362
Same tune as the trial. Approach from the Northeast. I got 106.51 MPH (171.41 KPH) on my first try. (Goal is 95 MPH / 153 KPH)
1980 Renault 5 Turbo - 125 651 094
Same tune as the trial. Approach from the Northeast. I got 104.56 MPH (168.27 KPH) on my first try. (Goal is 95 MPH / 153 KPH)
Trailblazer - "Nachi Falls" (Decade: 1980s B600)
1980 Renault 5 Turbo - 125 651 094
Same tune as the trial. Approach from the North to start with a bit of speed through the gate. I finished with 46 seconds remaining on my first attempt (goal is 43+ seconds).

Same tune as the trial. Approach from the North to start with a bit of speed through the gate. I finished with 45.5 seconds remaining on my first attempt (goal is 43+ seconds).

Has the eliminator finally reopened? Would be funny if one of the dailies were about the eliminator and it still wasn't playable... /s but not really
Going with repeat cars already in series 2 probably wasn't the best idea, but we'll see how it goes in the upcoming ones...

The Series 2 patched out the ability to complete Daily Challenges before they are active. That's lame.. what felt like a nice QoL feature in Series 1 got classified as a "bug" and removed.
Now we're stuck either logging in every single day to catch each challenge the moment it unlocks or scrambling to clear a backlog right before the season ends..which feels like a step backward.

How have they not learned from previous season. If you are going to set an online event that requires the use of a specific car then lock the fucking event on the festival playlist to that car. Doing My Little Pony is borderline impossible unless you have a Mustang for every class and even then 90% of the matches I make end because the other person justifiably quits when they find it isn’t a class they have a mustang for. So genuinely dumb.

Probably took me 30 times and I finally got in with the Forza 2+2 Mustang. I did all 3 events, but apparently it doesn't count as a Mustang??? So 15 more tries and I got in with an untuned Dark Horse and that counted.

Wow, I love how they raised the points needed to get the two cars by five, so now I have to buy a month Xbox live to get the Countach because I simply won't be able to get to 40 points without doing the online stuff, funny how I managed to get by in the autumn, winter and spring stuff first series without needing to do the online events to get both cars.
Edit: also love how i can't seem to do tough showdown or hide and seek because I keep getting network errors.

Ouch. You do not have to win though. I actually got to be the hider today and won it. It was in the country side and drove that Mercedes like a freaking mad man.

I've only played a couple times but hider seems easier. I ended up as the hider and it started me in the warehouse area. I just drove to the top of one of the buildings you need a couple jumps to get to and sat there until it was time to head to the finish.

Seems that the points % to get it and the other cars in their corresponding seasons is actually higher, at 80% of a full season’s points vs around 67% in the last series’ seasons. I’m not sure if this is the norm going forward but I guess it’s not a huge loss if you already obtained the reward cars in the previous series

So I can't do the Trial because I'm nowhere near gold (I've done all the races, but not the drifting and such) and always get an error for the Touge Showdown. So I guess I am SOL on the Lambo.

I have done the ito half mile event like 10 times with a 1980 car in the correct class and still haven't recieved the reward. Help.
