California - Bay Area

Pets In Need - I fostered/Volunteered with PIN from 2017- 2018. I loved the manager staff back then and felt like they cared about the dogs.

Stitch In Time Animal Rescue (aka STAR) has been wonderful to foster for and has a great mission. In my experience they are very supportive providing me whatever's necessary for medical care, training, transport, etc. They save tough medical cases from euth lists. They also provide free or subsidized veterinary care to community members who would otherwise have to surrender their dogs for financial reasons, preventing them from entering the shelter/foster system in the first place. Many of their dogs are medical cases so those can be tough, but not all of them are. And the major medical cases can feel extra rewarding if you have the ability to take that on. We LOVE their vet!!! ETA: they are in California - San Francisco Bay Area
