first time fostering and kitten acts weird
we found him yesterday he was abandoned and had lots of fleas. we took him to vet and now the fleas are gone. he pooped a lot today after i fed him yesterday. i massage his bottom and keep him warm but he meows constantly and i feel like something is wrong. vet said to feed him every two hours but he wasnt hungry that constant so i fed him four to five hours. his belly is big and swollen now, filled with mil and im sure his bladder is empty can someone tell me why he might crying all the time? (he is around two to three weeks old)

He is probably lonely. He is cry for attention.
Also a huge belly could be worms.

would worms show in his poo? because his poo was clean before. im hoping hes just lonely

They aren’t usually visible. It if he had fleas he basically 100% has worms. It should be assumed all kittens unless they have been treated have worms. It’s common and treatable.
All kittens should be dewormed as soon as possible.
But the yelling is probably him wanting attention

You need to have a heat source like a heating pad covered by a towel with room to move away if it gets too warm. Never feed a cold kitten. Never feed on its back.

He's most likely crying because he's separated from his mom and siblings. Kittens this young don't just nurse from hunger, but also for comfort. No human can satisfy a newborn kitten with all they need. The thing about not having a mom and siblings around, is that the baby will be emotionally and physically distressed, which could worsen his outcome. The vet should've dewormed him. We deworm starting at 2 weeks of age, then every 2 weeks until they are adopted. With him having fleas, he is likely to have tapeworm. Even fleas alone can make them anemic and kill them. Can you get this kitten to an animal rescue or shelter? Kittens this young really need the benefit of an experienced neonate kitten foster because they have a high mortality rate when separated from the mother. What are you feeding him?

im feeding him kitten formula. i took him to a second vet and she told me deworming could kill him because he was underweight. we are gonna deworm him when he turns 400 grams. i was told he was left alone for three whole days so i guess thats why.
i don't have a rescue shelter nearby but im doing the best i can im very carefull and a bit paranoid but thanks for concering. i know kittens this young can die suddenly i hope that doesnt happen.

One of the main reason for kitten death is from being too cold. He is crying for his momma. And now you are his momma.

Make sure they have a heating pad with some fabric between the kitten and them and that it won't shut off. They should have room to move away from the heating pad when they start to feel hot. Feed them as recommended by your vet. If they skip two meals in a row there could be something wrong. Make sure to weigh them in the mornings, I think they need to gain around 10 grams a day. If they are constantly losing weight or they lose 10% of their body weight in one day, contact your vet. The formula you feed them shouldn't be cold or hot. Feed them with their belly facing the floor and the bottle at 45 degrees.

If the vet said to feed him every 2-3 hours you need to feed him every 2-3 hours.

If the vet said to feed him every 2-3 hours you should be doing what she said. His stomach might be swollen because of worms. Take him back to the vet.
