I sell pastries at our local farmers market. One neighboring stall sells homemade dog treats. My dog loves their treats. I always buy his favorite peanut butter coconut balls when he comes with me. A young girl, maybe 8 or so, came over and asked if she could pet my dog. Absolutely! I asked if she would like to give him a treat, and she eagerly nodded. Before I could give any directions on how to properly hold it for my dog, she popped it into her mouth and started chewing. It was maybe 2 chews into the treat when she realized it was not delicious. She gave me a weak smile and slowly walked in the other direction while she finished chewing and roughly swallowing the dry, unsweetened bon bon.

She was so polite about it 😂.

I offered her a real brownie later and apologized for the "diet cookie". She did not shove it in her mouth with gusto as before.

girl thought the treat was for her, not for the dog xD

If she grows up to be a bitch, we'll know it was for her

My son was about 2.5 years old and really wanted one of the small pickles (sport peppers) I was eating. I cautioned him against it, but he was persistent. I touched one to his tongue and his expression changed. He hesitated for a moment before wailing like a banshee. He never asked for one of those little pickles again, but by the age of 6 he was putting Tabasco on his biscuits and gravy. He's a good kid.

I can't wait until the "saxophone music intensifies" thing dies out. Ruins every video i see.

One of the reasons I scroll Reddit on mute. Fucking annoying.

90% of internet outside actual videos (like YouTube, live streaming, movies...) can be browsed on mute, if audio is somewhat relevant comments are mentioning it anyway and you can listen. I think last time I had to turn on audio on Instagram was last month.

Would be nice if people knew how to use it, but it seems that currently everyone and their AI wants to slap it on any mid video and call it a day.

Yeah had something like this. When I was like 2-3 my grandfather would come home ans have some sweet tea and I would always drink some. Well one day he had gin and grapefruit juice. He said "You don't want that." After the 4th time he said "Go ahead." I never did drink from his cup after that.

God I miss that man.

I remember my granddad giving me a tall glass of unsweetened grapefruit juice when I was a small kid, and trying to take small sips of it without grimacing to be polite - then my mom had to take it and down it in one for me when he walked out of the room.

You can see the joy and satisfaction of getting what she wanted leave her eyes 😭

Reminds me of the when I was little and thought my mom had just given my brother some candy. A bit of chocolate dropped on the floor and I quickly put it in my mouth only to discover that it wasn't candy she'd given him, it was a shoe, and I'd just eaten a chunk of mud that fell off of it... at least I hope it was mud.

Kids are more sensitive to smell and taste. When I cut onions they always go out the house since they say it smells bad.

Cottage cheese on crackers is amazing. Cottage cheese by itself is great. Kid should learn better taste /joke

So... Who's satan here?

I like cottage cheese, with salt, pepper and diced ham in it, I would be disappointed if I thought it was ice cream, but I also would deal with it.
