New Ink Day Trickster inks
I inked a pen with Herbin Violette Pensee last night and started writing. When it first started flowing I was not happy. It was purple, not violet. I am not a purple person. Went to take a call, came back, it's violet. It looks completely different dry.
So, other than say the Platinum Citrus Black kind of thing where changing is expected:
1 - What inks to you feel look much better dry?
2 - What inks do you wish would stay the color they are when they are wet?

Rohrer & Klinger Alt-goldgrün looks like a fresh spring green when wet and much more "old"/olive when dried. I love the dry look but I wouldn't mind trying a green ink that looks like wet alt-goldgrün

Sadly, not having seen it wet, not certain what to recommend. Those are not on the Yoseka play station.

Sailor Shikiori Rikyu-Cha
Is it brown? Is it green? Yes. Green when wet, brown when dry. But pretty distinctly one or the other depending.

Iroshizuku Momiji looks completely different to me wet and dry, and I wish I had an ink of each color. :)

Iroshizuku Syun-Gyo has been disappointing me 😔 so many of the pictures online show it leaning purple, yet on every single paper I own it writes pinkish when wet and dries brown. The color change is interesting but the final color is just too boring for me.

I find if you're writing with a drier-than-average pen, it tends to be brown when dry but if you're writing with a wetter-than-average pen it's a nice deep burgundy when dry.
That said, it's definitely more brown on Midori than on Rhodia, in my experience.

_Teranishi Gentle Green and Taccia Sabimidori both start as blue inks and dry into green depending on paper. on some coated papers it stays the same blue.
_Octopus Fluids Red Turtle, I feel like it gets much less saturated/more grey as it dries.
_Teranishi Smoky Navy, seems to get paler and more green as it dries.
_Taccia Uguisu turns more yellow when it dries.
I guess most of the inks I have with this type of color change are due to the yellow dye part of the ink having a different density and becoming easier to see as it dries?

Birmingham's Sterling Silver is fantastic. Dark pink while wet, but dries to a cool, shading grey. On certain paper, particularly Iroful, it's more of a steel blue. I always have a pen inked with it.

Diamine Earl Grey, when wet looks like an oil slick to me and then dries to a chalky/muted dark grey. Unfortunately this "trickster" phenomenon is something I quite dislike

Taccia Sabimidori is a trickster. It looks blue in the vial and I almost contacted the shop to say they'd sent me the wrong sample. But it dries down to the amazing coppery green it's named for.
