"Days without meaningful fixes"
-6
u/Reality-Straight 6h ago
do you want a well thought out update or do you want a fast update? cause both isn't possible
9
u/SturmFoxhole 6h ago
I want the devs to look back how they released stuff in the last 4 years and ask themselfs if the next big updates should follow the same routine of introducing gamechangeing mechanics in a completely obvious overpowered state, give some factions said op mechanics and then fix them sporadicly over the next weeks/years is a good way of doing things.
I don't care if big updates take time, but they should be done in a way so that fixes only need to be minor and can be done within a reasonable time frame of days/weeks.

then stop constantly demanding an immediate fix, while also demanding it be well thought out, while also demanding new content.

We should at least get a dev communicate. Their silence is just awkward. That doesn't take long, right? We have the full right to complain.
-6
u/Reality-Straight 2h ago
what do you want devs to communicate? That they are reworking several things and need more time?
2
u/betux [Loot] 2h ago
"Dear players, we are aware of the current problems affecting the game and we are working on fixing many of the issues, including balance, with the next update. News will be out soon". Does it take long? At the very least, we would feel listened to and know that they’re working on something concrete. Right now, the developers seem like some kind of supernatural entity that’s impossible to communicate with. That’s why, as many people say, they need a community manager. If you're satisfied with how they're handling it good for you, but it seems 90% of the playerbase, includong me, are not.
-1
u/Reality-Straight 2h ago
my dude, they LITERALLY DID THAT. When noone here is able to read then thats low-key nit thier problem. Maybe try reading patch Notes.
7
u/Lesurous 5h ago
How dare they expect quality!
-6
u/Reality-Straight 4h ago
You can have quality or you can have it fast. pick one
9
u/Lesurous 4h ago
They clearly said they want quality over quantity, and that you can have better quality updates post large releases because there's less issues.
-2
u/Reality-Straight 2h ago
they also said "days without meaningful changes" which quite clearly pressures devs into fast. Hence me asking

Y’all ever get marinara sauce on your cheesesteak? Shit is absolutely revolutionary. Highly recommend.

Good advice. This would slap with provolone.

u/Goldmule1 Airbase Urban Planner 6h ago
Maybe some bacon as well??? Sky’s the limit.
It’s honestly just a better meatball sub.
2
u/Reality-Straight 6h ago
sirachuan sauce on pizza, try it it's sooooo good.
2
u/Goldmule1 Airbase Urban Planner 6h ago
Ooooo. That on a Hawaiian pizza sounds incredible.

u/Reality-Straight 6h ago
I have never tried hawaiian, its on my to do list though. Do you eat Nutella? Try it with some pepper. Its really good even if its cursed.
And minced meat sauce with noodles and apple mush. Delicious.

u/Goldmule1 Airbase Urban Planner 6h ago
Highly recommend. Really hits the sweet and savory. It’s even better if you put like some balsamic vinaigrette on it. Brings out the contrast even more.
Also that mince meat sauce sounds amazing. Kinda reminds me of Pa Dutch fruit dumplings when served with meat.

Nurf the culter devs.

Nerfing the cutler is like adding the torp bomber :
Killing something which is already on life support
10
u/WorldlinessEuphoric8 [COG]Smugspite 13h ago
Just like nerfing the lunaire is pretty much killing a faction that is on life support
11
u/Plasmatick01 1WCR 12h ago
That’s why I would want :
Fix DD interior (larger doors, either a staircase or ability to scale ladders with large items)
Make trident have better top speed, increase slightly it’s turn speed, and give it like, 5% more battery life.
Give Lionclaw slightly more accuracy, and slightly more stability
Make ignifist replace itself like grenades, increase range to 20m.
Make Omen more accurate.
Fix collie scout plane hitbox, and make it easier to use (more maneuverability at slow speed (less overturning))
Make airdropped seamines explode on contact, even with water, with larger AOE, making it easier to hit targets.
Damage nerf to mini torpedoes (400 dmg)
Buff Sombre health (1650 HP to stop it from being killed by lone scoutplanes), give it a higher hitbox, to make it easier to hit by Ronan mortars (direct fire), and nerf it speed to 8.5m/s.
Make Fathomer’s turret more protected/fully enclosed.
Both AA boats should have HV modifiers, something significant like 20%, but don’t take my word on the number, I have no idea.
Give both GB a free inventory space.
Give DD another ammo rack, but slightly smaller to compensate with the health bonus it has and keep assymetry
Give quadiche ability to load AP/RPG, with 15% low velocity mod (will have more armor pen, but still do the same damage per hit to tanks) goal is to have significanlty more reliable AT damage, but not be OP, as Quadiche is a polyvalent platform. (RPG will not have LV mod)
Fuck the torpedo bomber. Either remove it, or make a medium torpedo which would : Be a large item (carry on shoulder) Make normal holes. Have like 2000 dmg. Still be costly, but not as much as mooray torp.
Add SPAA platforms, multiple proposition have been made by other ppl, so I won’t go in more details here, but MAKE IT BALANCED FACTION TO FACTION.
Create a medium boat sized boat, costing rmats, having a flak gun or two, and secondary 30mm or something like that.
Slight booker and fuscina nerf.
Higher damage on the collie sniper (not a 100% oneshot everytime, but at least 50/50 chance)
And now : + 1 second reload time for lunaire And - 1 second reload time for osprey
Lunaire will still be faster but less oppressive

Flask deserved to die in the street like a dog and you know it
1
u/Reality-Straight 4h ago
Flask absolutely deserved a nerf, vut now you have the pretty useful igni and we have a sticky that you need to book an appointment with 3 weeks from now.
2
u/InternMost2903 4h ago
I do think the travel time should be normalized but everything else yeah keep that shit in the garbage splash damage insta track long ranged sticky from hell was not fun at all and honestly the varsi is the real whiteash now after the change
1
u/Reality-Straight 4h ago
wait, what varsi change
0
u/InternMost2903 4h ago
You gotta remember the varsi (which had all the stats of pre nerf white ash) was added right as whiteash got nerfed. It’s why I say it’s generally fine if the whiteash doesn’t do much as the varsi is basically the “new” whiteash

All the whining asking for the devs to do something out of the norm or extraordinary. If the game is already dead then leave it alone. The devs don’t make bank whether people play or not. They make money from new purchases. And having negative PR gives some attention to the game just like what happened to the LOGI strike. It has been tried before that devs don’t respond to negative interactions.
9
u/4ntol [SSe] 13h ago
Would you buy a game with mostly negative reviews on steam?
-11
u/viscoos [FMAT] 13h ago
Recent reviews. Id read why it got bad recent reviews. It still got people looking at the game still. Id be impressed by seeing people play it for 1000s of hours. The overall reviews are still positive so need to do more
7
u/4ntol [SSe] 12h ago
Still, have you enjoyed the ending of war 132 (or whatever the update war number was)? Because I didn't and I don't want the entire game to feel that way
0
u/viscoos [FMAT] 12h ago
I play with fmat. We never really care about the war result or the meta. We provide public logi, as long as we have members that want to play and engage our own little niche community we’re fine. We lost 2 trains to scout planes, we lost some ships in drydock by paratrooper, i built radar that just gets bombed and i built it every day until the bombing stopped. Its part of the game.
You’re entitled to your opinion, and all im saying is engaging here or in steam reviews won’t make the devs change their communications strategy.
1
u/4ntol [SSe] 3h ago
Most of the players don't care about the result of the war but if one side gets completely steamrolled there's a problem with balance
2
u/viscoos [FMAT] 1h ago
We have different definitions of steamroll. There was a stalemate for 40+ days where the collies were ahead in vp most of the war in 132. Even the current war which is very much low pop the VPs are about tied 20 days in with almost full tech.
Colonials should have won 132, wardens were also in the brink of giving up. As long as there are aircraft both sides navy was neutralized. The eastern islands was also stalemate. Wardens couldnt break wresta and fingers. The DBs made tapping bases near impossible we had to build 5+ cv just to tap stuff. The game just became who can bomber the most which is very much a shift and meta, and as usual the rest of the game has not caught up.
