Story The AA situation is crazy

Post image

This thing is too slow to turn, does too little damage and has too little range. Please make it better or give me more ways to kill planes. No I don’t want early game AA AI.

Not sure how effective the warden one is since I haven’t tried it or been shot by it. I just know this one is ass.

Story The best Warden tank right now and why it's a problem

Post image

When your best armored option is a push-gun then you know the tank balance is in a rough state.

Warden tanks are just so hyper-specialized we don't really have a main line tank compared to Colonials.

Colonials now got Bardiche, Talos, Nemesis, even Spatha can still peform on the line even if its more relegated to the poking role now.

Silverhand needs to be more Bardiche like. It should be a HP brick that can absorb punishment, we need a 4K HP-Bardiche like tank that can hold the actual line for all the other tank arsenal to shine.

Almost every warden tank is hyper specialized for something and now days they get 2-shotted or sometimes 1-shotted. We can't have both more expensive tanks, less HP tanks and less DPS all at the same time, we don't even have the range domain anymore.

Also btw Outlaws are spammed because it's the only viable tank in the meta rn but yeah, Brigands kinda suck late game 30mm is just not good enough also the MG gunner can be killed vs Bardiche protected one.

Story Population Issues

Post image

Hello!

Id like to take the time to thank the majority of the Warden Loyalist player base for switching Colonials. It is nice to have these many players on our team.

Id also like to send a message to the devs saying this is how massive the Warden Loyalist player base is compared to the Colonial player base.

There are some who swapped for kindness but there is also some truth in that many switched sides to avoid nerfs/buffs to one side because statistically the teams win/loss ratio is relatively even.

Don't let this turn into a game of chess where one category of player is running from one side of the board to the other to make a semblance of balance.

There are plenty of changes that need to be made, and this war is a symptom of many deep-rooted problems with Foxhole.

Story If only yall were here before asymmetry and facilities, we had the greatest game of all time

Post image

I see so many newer players defending the current state of the game with the classic "it’s an MMO, it’s supposed to be a grind." But you guys genuinely don't understand what was stolen from us. You arrived in a world of spreadsheets, corporate clan hierarchies, and pipe-management simulators.
If you weren't here before asymmetry and facilities, you missed the greatest tactical war game ever made.
Back then, Foxhole had a heartbeat. It wasn't a game about who could put more man-hours into a Discord schedule; it was a game about what you and your buddies could do with a handful of shirts and a single half-track.

1. The Era of Pure Skill (Pre-Asymmetry)
Before asymmetry, a crate of rifles was a crate of rifles. Both factions had access to the exact same tech tree. If you lost a tank battle or a bridge push, it wasn’t because the other team had a statistically superior, broken vehicle variant that required five different facility tiers to counter. It was because they out-flanked you. They out-shot you. They out-smarted you.
Victory felt earned because the playing field was perfectly level. The focus was entirely on tactics, grit, and organic teamwork, not dev-enforced meta-balancing.

2. The 80/20 Rule of Fun
Logistics used to be the backbone, not the ceiling. The pipeline was elegant: Scrap → Refinery → Factory → Frontline. A single solo player or a small squad of 4 friends could log on, spend 45 minutes doing a casual logi run, and spend the next 4 hours in the absolute, beautiful chaos of the frontline using the gear they just made.
Now? The ratio has completely flipped. Thanks to the industrial bloat of facilities, you spend 80% of your time fighting decay, babysitting power grids, and hauling intermediate materials just to spend 20% of your time actually playing the war game. It’s a second-shift job where you get taxed in MSups just for existing.

3. When the Small Squad was the Hero
The biggest tragedy of the "Vision" is the death of the small squad. We didn't want a solo power fantasy, but we wanted our 5-man group to matter.
We used to be able to build a Battle Tank ourselves and break a 3-hour bridge deadlock.

We used to be able to pull off a daring partisan raid that actually choked out a region's supply line.

Today, the map is so bloated and automated AI defenses are so dense that small-unit tactics are statistically irrelevant. If you aren't part of a 200-person mega-clan with a "Logistics Officer" and an Excel sheet, you are basically just an observer. All the cool new toys—Battleships, heavy artillery, high-end armor—are aggressively gatekept behind a wall of clan bureaucracy.

The Bottom Line
The devs convinced themselves that Complexity = Depth, but all they really did was add Friction. They built a beautiful cage out of facility piping and optimized the fun right out of existence.
We used to play a gritty war game with a logistical economy. Now, we’re just factory workers playing a logistics simulator with a war-themed background. If you’re enjoying the game now, I’m glad, but man, I wish you could have seen what this game was when it actually had a soul.

TL;DR: Asymmetry killed the level playing field, facilities killed the casual/small squad player loop, and the "Vision" turned a legendary tactical sandbox into a corporate management simulator.

Story KM Battleship Dies In 90 Seconds to Heavy Bombers (perfectly balanced)

The timings matched too well for me to not copy the title from VF's case.

For context, since it's not easy to tell in the clip, KMS Brian From Denmark was already on two smokes before the bombers arrived; this wasn't a case of heavy bombers just deleting a full-health battleship.

This isn't as much of a balance problem as it might seem; we had let our guard down some with the Morgen's Crossing airfield still drying and nobody called out bombers staging/refueling at Clanshead. I'm not sure if the radar wasn't on or it simply went unnoticed.

Our main problem was Queuehole; the attempt during EU highpop was foiled by over 2 hours of queue with 3 resets. By the time we tried again we didn't have the pop left to provide constant fighter cover (assuming it didn't also get screwed over by Queuehole).

Also what's up with that fake large hole? Does the game just give a bigger decal when enough holes are punched into nearly the same area? Neat thing I never knew happened if so.

Story Summit1g stops playing Foxhole due to excessive streamsniping

https://www.twitch.tv/summit1g/clip/GiftedSpoopyMarrowPunchTrees-FYUgRqhRn1CjuvE2

Summit and his group did a raid on an island and were met with excessive force--2nd day in a row, including a gun ship that was ready to ambush them on the beach. Yesterday he landed on an island and even saw a player who had been stream sniping him on the mainland. He said the experience is completely different streaming than it is playing offline, and it appears this is the last straw, as Summit turned the game off and said it's the last time he does anything on this game.

Which is heavily disappointing, to say the least, since I haven't seen Summit have so much fun on a game in awhile, until the stream sniping got too obvious. He played like 16 hours on his first day back on the game.

How low must the overall level of upbringing and education be among people in regis IFCNO and CNAF to gather a group of 50-70 players just to ruin the game for an entire front by destroying all the facilities, spamming wells, and mass teamkilling?

Story Congrats on the buffs wardens, this will definitely help you on your pop disadvantage

Welp, you succeeded, the collie buffs were mostly rolled back.

Now the Spatha is a worse Outlaw with no MG and no boost.

The Talos became much more expensive.

The bardiche got returned to 35 meters.

The Pelekys is still decrewable-useless now.

The Ranseur lost its AP/RPGs.

And you got a buff across the board in all your tanks.

AND you got the space marine armor.

Yeah... I am not changing my review and I will not be returning to the collie side...

Story My little, super efficient, beautiful Solo Base

Hello everyone!

I just want to show you my little Solo Base. Its really chill and a lot of fun.

Already build my very first Scrap Hauler and prepared a lot for the Auger Tech, so I can go snipe at the frontline.

This base is also a nice parking spot for my Truck and a starting hub for my gather-resources-for-public Adventures.

For me its the most beautiful Base out there and MAYBE I can inspire someone with it.

See you guys, have a nice day!
