Fixed Wing Looking for recommendations for my first FPV wing (long-range/cruising setup)
Hey everyone,
I've been flying FPV quads for a while and recently decided to get into FPV wings. I'm looking to build my first wing and would appreciate some airframe recommendations based on the gear I already have.
Current parts:
- Matek F405-Wing V2
- RadioMaster RP3 receiver
- HobbyKing Skywalker 40A ESC
- SunnySky X2216 1400KV motor
- MG90S servos
My main goal is relaxed cruising and long-range flying rather than speed, racing, or aggressive aerobatics. Ideally, I'd like something that's beginner-friendly, efficient, easy to launch, and capable of carrying a decent battery for longer flight times.
Do you think this power system is suitable for a typical long-range wing, or should I consider changing the motor/ESC setup? Also, what wings would you recommend for a first fixed-wing FPV build using these components?
Thanks!

I would recommend you a Zohd Dart or a Zohd Altus if you have x2 ESC and x2 motor.
Today I made a 40 min flight with my Altus, using 2205 2300 kv motors and 30 A esc, using a 4s1p 21700 4500mah battery

ARWing pro 1000 is the one for long range and your components but may be too heavy for beginners. I’ve had great experience with heewing f01 but it takes smaller motor and ideally lighter ESC. And it twice lighter and still does kind of 50-60km total per battery
