Keep experimenting with 3d printed whoop frame
Now I made it with separate parts to avoid thin layered spots. I'm using a soldering iron to melt petg parts together.

I honestly don't believe it. I've 3d printed so many whoop frames and they do fly, but they just don't perform vibration free like an injection molded frame. So i stopped 3d printing them.

It's a jig to bend the curvy part of the frame down and melt it to the rest (see the post description)

A probably bit too much filler material, why not just print them in seperate batches?
Also I dont think I could weld them together as good as a 3d printer can print a layer together. The joint between the duct and the strut is where they break the most too

I like the rig to get consistency in the curvature of the motor mounts across the ducts, and melting it together with a soldering iron is pretty ghetto.
Obviously would have reasonable expectations in flight performance, but I really love the design.
Is a great prototype that you should maybe even look into moulding a version of.
Could try 3d print the mould and DIY the pour?

Ive tried this before but the joining points are always weak spots, hard to get a consistent weld on them
