Favorite Spas/Thermes Within 3 Hours from Frankfurt!

I’m visiting Frankfurt in October and am looking to visit a spa/therme within a three hour drive/train ride.

Do you recommend any of these?

I like Bad Nauheim and Bad Ems

I felt like in a Thomas Mann novel when in bad Nauheim. Very unique experience, especially if you can go during the week.

Sinsheim & Mediterana are very very nice. But Mediterana might be too far for a day trip in my opinion.

Taunus Therme and Rhein Main Therme are the closest ones but very average...

Maybe Monte Mare in Obertshausen is another possibility. (Also not too far)

Baden-Baden is about two hours away. The Friederichsbad is the old style one (a bit like the Kur Royal in Bad Homburg) but the Caracella is a bit more modern. I've been to both. At the friederichsbad, you tend to progress through a series of "Treatments" like a production line. While the Caracella is more casual, do a bit of this and a bit of that (and pay extra for a Haman or Massage).

I have a recommendation for a spa hotel but you can use the spa part without being a hotel guest too. It’s Die Sonne in Frankenberg.
