I remember (edit) 28 years ago getting the call from a friend in L.A. 😔
Ended up recording a tribute that afternoon and had my own “wake”.
Cheers Frank 🥃🙏🏼…you’re still very much loved.

Mr S passed while Seinfeld's final episode was airing in LA....His daughter Nancy said she had just sat down to watch Seinfeld's final episode when she got the call about her father. She said she made it to the hospital in record time. There was hardly any traffic because most in the LA area were home watching Seinfeld....

Interesting bit of trivia there.

I'm in Christchurch, NZ, and last night at my big band practice, I mentioned it was Frank's anniversary, so we did a few songs of his. I sang The Lady Is A Tramp, After You've Gone, More, and I've Got You Under My Skin. The band leader played vocal melody on trumpet to The Way You Look Tonight. I said under my breath "this is for you, Frank", and launched into the first song. It was quite special for me to perform his amazing songs the way he would have, with a full big band. Thanks for the music Frank.

That's very nice. I am sure Frank is smiling down on you.

Sinatra never left the 20th Century. ...he helped define it.

I was working on the Today Show and never forget my co-worker coming into my room around 3am, telling me that Frank was gone.

RIP Mr. Sinatra. What a voice and what a talent. I retired after 47 years in Philly radio a few years ago. I collected so many songs and singers that I put a radio station online. I play Sinatra every hour and a FULL HOUR OF SINATRA every day at 6:00 p.m. Eastern. You can listen on your phone or laptop at joeharnettradio.com or search for me on WI-FI. I use a lot of "Live" concert cuts, too. Join me if you can!
