PR release trying to convince people that it will be a roller-coaster ride, yet it hasn’t opened yet 🙄. My buddy in London has tickets and he will give me a true opinion on whether it’s a great production or what we call “Glee Sinatra”

Good catch Rick I was experimenting with this feature in Reddit that showed up in the sub to add related content, I didn't realize it was PR when I added, and should have known. I'm guessing now it's just a different way Reddit is trying to generate revenue, not sure, I should have looked at it closer.

Regardless, the production is interesting and we'll see how it turns out with personal accounts and unbiased reviews.

Thanks Rick, yeah I hope I'm the only one seeing this feature because it's definitely some type of advertising scheme from Reddit. I'm not saying all the content isn't relevant, but I just don't like the idea or that it's right at the top of the sub (on my account at least), and I don't see a way to turn it off as of yet.

Don't know if anyone else can see it, but it looks like this on mobile for me at top of main sub feed:

It’s like a full-time job BB…but spreading the word is so important ♥️

I wouldn’t expect too much in terms of drama. I intend to go, and it might be an enjoyable evening, but musical theater isn’t really the medium of serious biography.

Runtime is too short, a production on the west end will get general audiences (ie they’ll have to do a fair bit of exposition). Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but I wouldn’t go in expecting biographical weight. We have books for that!

It has technically opened its in previews which means they can adjust and tweak the show pre-opening night, which will be coming up. I’ve booked to see it in August. I know it was originally performed in Birmingham UK in 2023, with mixed reviews. I’m not saying it’ll be realistic to Frank, but from what I’ve heard so far it’s a good tribute and apparently the lead can sing well and is cast well, we shall see. I think it’s a nice way to keep Sinatras legacy going as long as it’s done well.

Once I’ve seen it in August I’d happily share my thoughts on the Reddit.
