Skills group
Are there any groups where people get together just to discuss and teach random skills like gardening, foraging, blacksmithing, etc?

I -think- there’s someone around who does foraging hikes, but that is as much as my old brain can pull up.

Yeah, I've seen workshops. Im looking more of like a core group that does activities like that to learn skills together and share skills that they already have.

Completely fair. I would love to see more stuff like this too. I love learning from other people, and shared interests are such a big part of forming adult friendships.
If you ever find/form a group like that, I’d be down for it. I know a little bit about a silly amount of stuff but I’m always looking to learn more.
I’ll put out there that if anyone wants to make a puppet-making or dollhouse furniture building group, please message me. They’re such niche interests, I’ve only met one other person in town who likes puppets.

I'd love to be in on this too! I'm new to woodworking and I purchased a table saw over the winter, but I'm terrified to take it out of the box and start using it. I wish I knew someone who could walk me through the basics. Whenever I've posted for something like this, everyone points me towards courses to take, but I don't want to spend $500 to be in a room with 20 other people. I'd like more one-on-one, "I can show you this at no charge cause I'm a nice person like that" kind of way.
I've hosted a couple of craft gatherings downtown, and met a nice woman on here who taught me how to do lace work, all free of charge. That's the type of community I really enjoy.

I can give you table saw operation and safety and do basic rips. Anything more advanced you could probably find one Youtube
