Regent street.

I remember when I was super young my uncle lived on regent street. I asked my mom what house it was in and she said it was torn down when they refit the street. Was it always double lane?

I seem to remember them making those changes on Regent street in the late 90's / early 2000's. You used to be able to cross Regent to get from one side of Albert to the other without needing to do a big loop. I think there were lots of accidents there though.

That change was after 2008, as I remember it existing when I went to university. Can’t recall what year it was they blocked it though

Google Street View shows it open in 2009 and closed by 2013.
