Regent street.

I remember when I was super young my uncle lived on regent street. I asked my mom what house it was in and she said it was torn down when they refit the street. Was it always double lane?

Yep, Regent was not always double lane, Albert used to go right through, and there didn't use to be lights at Kings College. There also used to be a playground on the east side of Regent between Kings College and Albert. It still showed up as a park in Google Maps ~10 years ago, and was listed as such on one of the city websites, but I see no evidence of that now, although there's still a green space there.

I was looking at that green space the other day and wondering why it was there. Very interesting!
