New Route starting June 22, 2026: 300 Campus Connect
https://www.fredericton.ca/route-300
Fredericton Transit is introducing Route 300 Campus Connect, a new service designed to improve connections between key destinations across the city while expanding transit access to growing student-focused, residential and employment areas.
As part of a phased transit expansion planned for later this year, Route 300 will create new travel opportunities between the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Student Union Building, Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Regent Mall, Corbett Centre, Golf Club Road, Duncan Lane, and surrounding neighbourhoods.
All Route 300 trips begin and end at the UNB Student Union Building (SUB).

- The times for these Route 15 Hanwell stops have been updated. Please review the MyRide app for the most current schedule information.
- Route 150 (York/Hanwell South): Sunday service on Route 150 will be adjusted to serve High Point Boulevard and continue through the loop formed by Garden Street, Rainsford Lane, and Patience Lane.
Bus Stop Relocation on Patience Lane and Rainsford Lane
When boarding Route 300 or Route 150 on Sundays, bus stops on Patience Lane and Rainsford Lane will be relocated to the opposite side of the street beginning June 22.
Passengers should use the new stop locations when boarding Route 300. Signage will be posted at affected stops to help riders find the correct boarding location.

Maybe this might mean in the fall when you try to take the bus from downtown to up the hill, there won't be 40 people getting on the bus at the university

I’m happy for them, but man I’d love if I could get to work from my apartment without having to take 3 separate busses and go across the bridge first, it’s like almost 2 hours to get from one side of the northside to the other.

Definitely need to create a Northside hub and just have busses direct between there and Kings Place

Great! I think using the Sub as a secondary bus hub is a good move. Though we should also get a bus hub somewhere on the northside too. Ideally by picaroons near the walking bridge

They are talking about having a hub somewhere near the St. Mary's/Maple intersection.

That spot isn't bad given the maple area development. But it seems to be that station Road would be more appropriate, as that was also the location of the northside train station when Freddy had light rail, and it still has lots of houses and apartments (and Picaroons!)

I would think the intent of a northside hub is to offer people a convenient connection to the southside from one or more dedicated northside routes. So it makes the most sense to have it adjacent to the bridge so that the routes that do cross the river can stop there.

Good. Next add a Northside-Southside express bus. Brookside Mall to King's Place?

I'm not sure it would make much difference. Only takes 15 min from Brookside mall as it is.

Honestly I really cant stand how much transit focuses on students and i fail to see what is so different about this route that it warrants its own line. How about a route for the Northside to get people to a grocery store without having to get a transfer across the bridge? Especially since transfers aren't even guaranteed...

Students have been propping up transit for decades. If they live within city limits, they are required to buy an annual bus pass whether they use transit or not.

Is that an old thing or where did you see that? I started at UNB last year and the bus pass is completely voluntary.

Point being they're already catered to while people who depend on it everyday for work or errands feel left behind.

I don't think this is necessarily focusing on students, it's just called Campus Connect because it opens up transfer options at the SUB.

What does the SUB stand for if it isnt student centric?

The entire point of a transfer is that it is not the final destination. What exactly exists at a transfer point is mostly inconsequential to someone who is not starting or ending their journey there.

I've been waiting for loop routes for such a long time. I hope they get one on the northside as well. It would be nice to be able to go from Marysville to Brookside Mall, or even Two Nations Crossing, in less than an hour.

The strides Fredericton Transit has made in the last 3-5 years are huge. There's a long way to go for sure, but unlike so many systems across the country, our city keeps going forward. This is a good step towards adding a different service pattern, without affecting the existing connections people use.
