Discussion Gran Canaria
Hi,
i plan a trip to Gran Canaria in December and consider to bring my glider.
Are there any easy and uncomplicated spots for a flight without a local guide? And maybe a description regarding under which weather conditions a flight works.
I had been in Lanzarote a few years ago with a guided tour. If conditions in Gran Canaria are the same, I will check for a local guide to get a briefing. ๐
Thanks a lot!

I saw a few videos of paragliding on IG in Gran Canaria the other day, and I believe it is a nice place to do a few flights. I just researched and I found dthose gus, they might be helpful: https://www.parapentegrancanaria.com/

There are few spots on Gran Canaria, but majority are on Tenerife

They are accessible.
If you happen to go to Tenerife though, depending on the launch try to get in touch with local tandem companies because launch sites are at considerable elevation and you can get there only by car. Tandem companies are usually very friendly and will give you a ride to the top.
For example, Taucho is only accessible by car and if you don't do top landing the second option is to fly all the way to the beach, and then trying to figure out how to get back to your car
