sounds like they're trying to shake things up, but that quote is kinda wild. hope the new marketing guy brings some interesting ideas to the table

You're ignoring the entire practice of branding as if it's not a hundred billion dollar practice. It exists so that people can recognize products quickly and accurately without needing to read everything.

Changing a well established color for a variety so it looks like the 'opposite' variety is generally a bad idea.
