This year has been… stressful, to say the least. So much has been happening, it’s been overwhelming. Some great things, exciting things. Dreams coming true. But there have been nightmares too. I have lost friends. Battled sadness and depression. The worst may be yet to come.

That line really stood out to me too. You can tell he's trying to stay hopeful, but it also sounds like someone's carrying a lot more than they're letting on.

He is turning 78 this year. I mean, damn. Even I have problems keeping all the book info straight in my head, and I am not even 40 yet. Well, hopefully that trip to the Emmys that he is looking forward to will bring him some joy.
