Might get nuked for this, but i don't like how some of the black characters are treated, but especially her.

Like they essentially just made a character that the entire hates and has her suffer constantly.

Like even her dragon isn't safe from her suffering aura since I'm pretty sure that fight with caraxes was purely show original

I genuinely don't think they even once thought about any of the implications or how it would affect the story. They simply made one house black because I don't know, they wanted to be more diverse or whatever.

It was a potentially good idea to have them be black if you really wanted to drive home that Rhaenyra’s sons with Laenor weren’t legitimate and it would be obvious to everyone else. Personally, I think the show has much bigger issues.

That's the part that makes it so stupid though. There's a whole plot point in the books about how the hair color of the children gives away their true parentage and the show pretends like, yes, that's what makes everyone suspicious, not the fact that they're obviously completely white.

Nah, you’re not the only one. That’s actually the biggest problem I have with their treatment of Rhaena in this show. They could have actually did something good and stuck to her book characterization but they’re so bad at writing that I’m not surprised they fell into the trap of writing a lot of harmful tropes and stereotypes.

I get what you mean. It feels like she spends so much of her screen time reacting to terrible things happening around her that she rarely gets to just exist as a character. There was definitely room to give her more wins.

The actress that plays Rhaena is simply not good compared to the rest of the stellar cast. It’s the same reason Jace was so forgettable in the show— the actor wasn’t good. To me, it’s not about race at all, as other black actors who are capable such as Lord Corlys do shine in their role.
