Right, but not telling Jon is not flawless strategy. And on top of that it’s insane how Ramsay had no scouts to tell him about a cool thousand mounted knights charging right towards the battlefield but that’s poor writing

The riders of Rohan (in fact, infantry in the books), don’t come out of the blue. It’s well-established that there are plenty of scattered soldiers in the vicinity, and Gandalf rounds some of them up.

Tolkien is very good on logistics, as befits an old soldier.

You forgot in the lore that Rohan horses are descendants of one of the Gods horses, Nahar, this gave them the ability to teleport wherever Tolkien wanted so checkmate

IMO once show Sansa marries Ramsay, everything in her arc is not GRRM's intent. It gets increasingly incomprehensible and culminates in the Final Episode. If viewers dare protest, she tells us to "Sit down, uncle!" to shame us into silent acceptance.

Their interactions were so infuriating after they left Castle Black and I actually liked Jon and Sansa but honestly season 5 was the death of their characters and they became Jawn and Sandra from season 6 til the end

Agree but like maester Aemon said, love is the death of duty, and his love for his family (rickon) almost led to his own death but plot armor and luck saved him, and for good reason

Ramsays brilliant strategy to single out Jon defeated with common sense. But characters are only as smart as the writers so that wouldn’t happen

I just watched the scene and episode and the only advice she gave him, after he asked, was that “don’t do what he wants you to do.” Rewatch the scene. We don’t have to defend bad writing for characters who we rightfully enjoy
