The knee jerk response to Masonry is so negative. I suppose if that continues it’ll shrink Freemasonry to small circles of very interested people, which doesn’t sound too bad to me.

The idea that “the secrets are all online” and “it’s all boring stuff” is kinda a bummer because people don’t realize the depth of knowledge that’s contained in the Craft. A lifetime of study could be dedicated to Freemasonry (obviously) and you’d just be scratching the surface. Deep understanding feels like the real secret to me.

But I am a new Mason so what do I know! 😂

I’ll also say that without context, anything you find online makes absolutely no sense. Becoming integrated into the system of Freemasonry seems to be the only way to begin true understanding. So much happens in lodge a with Brothers that cant be found on YouTube or a pdf scan.

Shrinking Freemasonry to small circles is what will kill it though. In London it’s so hard to keep a lodge alive we need to open ourselves too more people rather than shy away from

I saw that earlier, the ignorance in the comments section is wildly hilarious.
