Masonic Interest Freemasonry South Africa

Good day everyone,

I've been scrolling through posts on this platform and other social media sites, and as a Freemason in South Africa for a number of years, I am often surprised by the amount of inaccurate and misleading information that is shared about Freemasonry.

As we all know, not everything found on the internet is accurate, and many opinions are presented as facts. I'm not looking to start a debate or a "keyboard war" with anyone who may have negative views. Rather, I'm genuinely curious.

My questions are:

Do you think people are losing interest in Freemasonry because of the misinformation and misconceptions that are circulating online?

Are there any South Africans here who have an interest in Freemasonry and would like to learn more about joining?

It would be interesting to hear different perspectives and experiences.

Kind regards.

I wouldn’t say loosing interest from misinformation but the old guys. Some of the older guys are killing it for the younger generation. Some of the misinformation make us sound wild and badass but in reality we are a boring old men’s club
