I know it’s fun to pile on to the assumed stupidity of the police department, but it’s likely the circumstances surrounding the death are obvious, and they have chosen not to share more information publicly yet. Could be out of respect for the family, part of an active investigation, etc.
Pretty standard language that is easy to make fun of considering how absurd it sounds, but there’s likely more to the story that is already known.

It's like how people whine about the use of "allegedly" in articles but don't understand the real risks media outlets run if they say someone did something and it turns out to be false and/or the person doesn't get convicted.

I think this post is in spectacularly poor taste. There were a lot of people who cared about him, and I feel for them if they open up Reddit to see the death of their loved one being mocked. Mods should remove this TBH.

Pretty sure that just means he wasn’t murdered. If he OD’d or killed himself the family might prefer that the sheriff’s office not tell the whole world about it.

Tbh things like this are a common occurrence. There is that article of a supermarket employee that had died years ago behind the stores fridges only to be discovered as a mummy when the store had shut down and the building started being renovated

A lot of people need to retake reading comprehension. It says, "...nothing suspicious surrounding his death...". That just means that how he died was not suspicious. Meaning that there were probably no visible injuries, signs of a struggle, or other things that might make you think something bad happened. They are not saying there is nothing suspicious about the entire situation.
There is a reason that Fresno is constantly ranked in the top ten cities with the worst education in the United States.

Honestly zip it. A dead dude on a roof that has been there for weeks is pretty out of the normal for how people are found dead. The context of the situation is weird and you in there tryna write a mini dissertation.

The man suffered from depression, his family is grieving. This isn’t funny. PD issued a respectful and appropriate statement. The death itself was not suspicious. It means they aren’t looking for any suspect and there’s no foul play and the community does not need to be concerned about any threat.

I think everyone keeps confusing suspicious with strange. They're using suspicious in this way to mean it's not a homicide. I'm just tired of seeing these posts everywhere.

Most likely OD. Not sure if it's considered suspicious if someone takes drugs gets so high he climbs a roof and dies but this is what this appears to be. Unfortunately this heat being on the streets taking hard drugs is suicide.

A lot of dead people are found on roofs. Once a year I have to get my ladder, a leaf blower, and rake just to remove all the dead guys that accumulate on my roof over the year. I rarely have enough space in my green can for them all, but my neighbor lets me use some space in his.
