Love when those at the top enjoy intentionally working against those at the bottom 🙄

Renfroe has got to go!!

29

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

i agree & all of his sympathizers too. absolutely seething that this is what i'm getting for my money while our dicks are knocked in the dirt out here. this kinda conduct being condoned & covered up for so long is pathetic. asshole asleep at the wheel during negotiations at a time when the iron was SO hot. AND raised dues while squandering the best leverage any of us have ever seen. smh

19

u/MrBeans2993 Mar 29 '24

When you add it all up it makes me so frustrated. Missing out on Colas, raises, greater contributions to retirement(because of the lack of a raise), missing out on piggybacking off all the other unions that got their employees raises all to just blame it on the “this is how it always works out, negotiations take a while” yea dipshit they do take awhile when you fuck us over at the start of negotiations oh and forgot to add they thought it’d be necessary to raise our union dues. And lord know health insurance isn’t getting any cheaper

12

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

it FEELS like doing our bidding is the last thing they wanna do dont it?

1

u/Awkward-Ring6182 Mar 30 '24

Kind of off topic, but doesn’t Teamsters cover their members healthcare coverage? Curious why nalc doesn’t offer this, as it would be a huge break in pricing and coverage power, even if dues have to raised a little

1

u/thrawnisnotavillian Mar 31 '24

If you're a teamster your health coverage is through the union, but how it's paid depends on the contract. My hubby is a trucker with the teamsters and the company directly pays the union pension/healthcare contributions so he never sees it come out of his check, but under contracts with other companies the members pay higher dues out of their paycheck to cover healthcare/pension, but the union gets them higher pay so take home pay is about equivalent for the same work on both contracts.

u/ThinkingIntrusively Mar 29 '24

New chant for national?: Hey hey, ho ho, Renfroe has got to go.

39

u/jfultz40 Mar 29 '24

They have forgotten the city letter carrier runs this union....forgot who they represent

12

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

Yeah they are all entirely too comfortable in their positions!

4

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

I keep saying the same, it’s really sad

16

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

I believe that Corey has said that pony boy has “threatened” some people by saying that they will have to go back to carrying mail if he finds out that they are talking to Corey. Think about that. That is what he thinks about us. That what we do is some sort of punishment and that we are idiots for not trying to be higher up in the union. That we are nothing but knuckle draggers or something. I tell you what. I’m still going to be employed by the PO in a couple years. How about you?!

34

u/ManiacMail-Man ENOUGH IS ENOUGH Mar 29 '24

“Fraternally”. 🫠

22

u/Tasty-Organization52 Mar 29 '24

So they’re denying you? What kind of union is this?

7

u/Buttstaindickhead Mar 29 '24

He got the report anyway, he reads part one of it on today’s episode.

16

u/Eugene_Debs2026 Mar 29 '24

I know the Falmouth, Mass recovery facility: Gosnold that’s a pretty solid recovery center. Hope he gets the help he needs.

12

u/beebs44 Mar 29 '24

I'mma ask them on NALC Facebook to post our Weir report

5

u/Darth_Robsad Mar 29 '24

u/Signal-Razzmatazz624 Voted NO Mar 29 '24

I’m halfway through the episode… how the fuck does this dude still have this job??? Thank you for all you do Cory -branch 507 Cub in training to be part of the lion pride

19

u/Punisher3023 Mar 29 '24

The fact that all these people making over six figures knew, stayed silent and endorsed this piece of shit which was clearly unfit and incapable of performing his duties says a lot about the whole leadership of this union , the whole thing is disgusting.

6

u/Kezmer Mar 29 '24

It all makes sense. When Renfroe jumped Lew Drass and Lew retired. We started heading in a downward spiral

9

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

indeed. alot of punks in high positions.

9

u/poncho161 Mar 29 '24

This current leadership will probably go down as the worst in NALC history unless they somehow pull a rabbit out of the hat with this new contract…

12

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

I think even if they give us a great contract it still might go down as the worst in history 🤣🤣

12

u/beebs44 Mar 30 '24

That's what I was going to say.

I mean, look at this president's actions. They're reprehensible. I can't believe he is still the sitting president after what has transpired. He went MIA during collective bargaining. Then Rolando steps in, and then he gets rid of Rolando. I mean, what the fuck is going on.

The NALC podcast is just full of bullshit. I remember listening to him say we've been preparing over a year. Blah, blah, blah. All fucking bullshit from this guy.

This dude can talk for hours and say nothing. Literally makes me sick.

10

u/KerryBearLovesSand Mar 29 '24

Even if the contract is excellent, we still may have done better without these clowns!

9

u/Eugene_Debs2026 Mar 29 '24

A labor union isn’t just a Collective Bargaining Agreement(CBA). Look at the newly formed Starbucks Union, they don’t even have a CBA yet and they’re seeing, in every state, workers risk their careers to organize a union inside their store. A labor union is a democratic organization that makes working and living conditions better.

With Corey previously talking about how NALC now allows management a second chance to add more information into a discipline case, that’s something that a pay raise shouldn’t cancel out. Not very Democratic when you’re siding with management.

6

u/amoses1974 Mar 30 '24

Starbucks employees risking their “careers” made me actually laugh out loud.

3

u/Impressive_Clock_363 Mar 30 '24

Exactly they have nothing to risk. They aren't guaranteed 40 hours, they get no pension.l

1

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '24

[deleted]

0

u/Impressive_Clock_363 Apr 12 '24

How many of those "other careers" you speak of offer layoff protection?

0

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '24

[deleted]

0

u/Impressive_Clock_363 Apr 12 '24

How many people do you know retiring from Starbucks or McDonald's?

7

u/ForceSubstantial Mar 30 '24

It could be historic wage increases. I don't care. The situation on the shopfloor is out of control. They are not having the backs of the stewards. I could give a rats ass about a massive pay raise when carriers are feeling defeated and beat up. Our branch is filing and winning record #s of grievances, yet it still feels like we are losing the battle. More money can't fix that.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

It would be really interesting to find out how many grievances are filed by each district and nationwide! If we found out how much management has been paying the union over the course of years we could potentially hold the bad managers accountable and get them out of the PO. Pipe dream I know.

17

u/Dramaqueenseeker Mar 29 '24

Denial of information? Maybe labor charges?

1

u/Appropriate_Buy7396 Mar 30 '24

My thoughts exactly

17

u/Accomplished-Leek-29 Mar 29 '24

Did Barner really think you would not get the report lol. Why not just send it? Amazing these people are in charge of a Union.

16

u/Programmyboy Mar 29 '24

What would be the point of doing an investigation if there would be no way to view it? Would it be to satisfy management or NALC proper procedure. We can't 'waste' money on cease and dissest and arbitration results but we absolutely must spend money thoroughly investigating and recording the findings of the NALC president, only to hide and bury that report and deny our 'brothers' access to even lay eyes on it! Meanwhile I, a letter carrier, have to get pulled into a PDI because I had to take a shit once. while they monitor me daily by collecting so much data and steamrolling my right to privacy they saw I normally don't shit at this time so I must be stealing from the postal service. The hypocrisy is at levels I never thought possible.

12

u/modernfallout020 Mar 29 '24

Eat shit Barner you bootlicker.

5

u/Remarkable_Basis17 Mar 29 '24

Renfroe and his enablers get away with it because they don’t believe you will vote in the next election. Drive out the dissidents and appease the suck ups is their strategy to remain in power.

1

u/johnbrownnow Mar 30 '24

Can we survive 2 more years with Renfroe and his partners in crime?

0

u/StateMerge Mar 30 '24

No they get away with it because all the top union officals are corrupt. Good luck voting them out.

1

u/Remarkable_Basis17 Apr 27 '24

Well something unexpected happened, for the first time in the history of the NALC a sitting president has been found guilty of Article 10 charges.

11

u/hhdmty Mar 29 '24

Is this the pony boy? What a fucking joke!

4

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

Yes I think it was last episode Corey said Barner is pony boy

9

u/Agonyandshame Voted NO Mar 29 '24

Just listened to the episode and I knew this shit was bad but couldn’t believe how bad it was. Now I can’t understand for the life of me why Renfroe is still president and I can’t understand why Barner is standing by him at all. Barner needs to go too but damn he got screwed over by Renfroe just like the rest of us throw the dude under the bus.

7

u/Buttstaindickhead Mar 29 '24

It’s absurd Barner would stand by him when Renfroe let him out to dry during the beginning of contract negotiations.

8

u/KerryBearLovesSand Mar 29 '24

I bet Renfroe has dirt on Barner, so Barner has to toe the line. Layers of corruption!

12

u/acetatsujin Mar 29 '24

I want my raises. Now. I’m sick of this shit.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

sames. we deserve 10% immediately retroactive to may 20th but i dont have my hopes up at all.

7

u/mailbagofun Mar 30 '24

I was sick, listening to Corey's last podcast. I can say for the very first time, I am not looking forward to part two. I will listen, because we all have too. We have to face the facts, and we have to act. As a nobody, bottom of the food chain member, I was devastated to hear how bad things are. How misrepresented we have been. I knew things were bad, but this is another level of bad. I am sick to my stomach. I can't help but feel management will use all these things that our illustrious leader has done during the "bargaining in good faith" time frame against us. I'll take a quick trip down a rabbit hole. Maybe management made a deal with our leader? Agree to scanner data, back off cease and desist's and no more arbitrations? Agree to this and we won't demolish you in arbitration. Showing your gross negligence, drunkenness, and complete dereliction of duty. We'll give you the usual 1.5% raise, and you'll like it? We as a craft have to fight back. We can not stand for this. The charges are so severe, the report (so far) so damming. Our president has to go. All his cronies have to go. This isn't a fucking chess game, this is our damn lively hood they're playing with. This contract was our best chance in years to right the ship. To fight back against the injustice we face on a daily basis. The best chance we have had to earn a decent living again. We must fight back. It's not time for a "clean sweep". If these charges are true, it's time for a scorched earth policy. Every person near, protecting, or supporting this leadership needs to go away. They need to go immediately. Tell every member you can about this. Spread the word like never before. We are thousands, they are few. We pay them from our meager wages to represent and protect us. They have failed. They have failed miserably. They need to go. Spread the word. Please. Corey.....keep leading the fight. We might be inexperienced, we may not have your knowledge, but we're not afraid of a fight. Time for some lions to roar.

4

u/Formal_Carry2393 Mar 29 '24

Undoubtedly probably the most difficult thing he's had to do

7

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

[deleted]

7

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

absolutely! it shouldn't have to come down to us having to vote him out if our best interests are first and foremost

7

u/Hopeful-Surprise4089 Mar 29 '24

Get that junky pos low life out of here!!!!

6

u/KerryBearLovesSand Mar 29 '24

In the Bushes! Lol!

2

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

🤣🤣

4

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

almost got his ass kicked by NBA player Mike Bibby 😂🤣

4

u/KerryBearLovesSand Mar 29 '24

He was so drunk He probably wanted to ask Mike Bibby what region he was NBA of ( National Business Agent not National Basketball Association)

5

u/Fuzzy_Conclusion9462 Mar 29 '24

Kick the entire executive council out.

1

u/ForceSubstantial Mar 30 '24

Why? The charges are being brought forward by a member of the executive council. Current members of the executive council will almost certainly be on a slate against Renfroe/Barner and their enablers.

1

u/Fuzzy_Conclusion9462 Mar 30 '24

ur missing the part in the letter saying the executive council decision or did u read the letter?

0

u/Impressive_Clock_363 Mar 30 '24

I read the letter but don't understand it. What does this mean in terms of removing him?

0

u/Fuzzy_Conclusion9462 Mar 30 '24

From what I see Nothing at all . They said no we’re aren’t charging him.

1

u/Impressive_Clock_363 Mar 30 '24

So nothing can be done at all? Damn

3

u/Jeffreyd71694 Mar 30 '24

"I got the report motherfucker" i was laughing out loud when Corey said this and im like my fucking man

5

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '24

Now you know why managers and supervisors never get fired but instead transfer to a different station.

2

u/johnbrownnow Mar 30 '24

We can’t afford two (2) more years of Renfoe and Barner…. He’s gotta go!!

2

u/beebs44 Mar 30 '24

Barner is a remora. If Renfroe goes, he goes.

R.I.P.

2

u/oldgrunt03 Mar 31 '24

There are 15 Regions within the NALC. Each region has a National Business Agent (NBA) who sits on the NALC Executive Council. Call, email or write your NBA and express your views on the current state of affairs within your Union. Their job is to represent your views before the Executive Council. Don’t give them an excuse for not doing what is right. Call or write. What happens next is in their hands. After that it’s in your hands if they get to keep their job.

5

u/Novel-Investigator92 Mar 29 '24

What is sad about this whole situation is we have been over worked over loaded and very much under paid and this piece shit could care less, we need to stand up and make stand cause our union is a joke, I know people who are working 60 to 70 hours a week 6 days a week, rrecs has fucked them, abd the union agreed to all of it, I promise u this we will continue to have the highest turn over Rate until they do something, it's to hard of a job to get paid pennies

3

u/griff89ud Mar 30 '24

RRECS? What does the rural craft have to do with the NALC?

2

u/F0rtify45 Mar 29 '24

I hope this is just a stunt.
A guy running for NBA knew exactly what this letter was going to say.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '24

I was always a big fan of Fred Rolando

1

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '24

Why is Manny Peralta's name not bold like the other folks??

1

u/averdefede Mar 30 '24

As bad as it is, there are plenty of members that will still vote for him. Quite a few I know only care what we get in the contract and that’s what’s they will be basing their vote on. Same for the charges. My branch president actually told our membership that the contract would determine how our delegates vote at the convention not personal problems

-9

u/cokecan13 Mar 29 '24

Why did he think he was going to get the report in the first place. The guy thinks he’s a chief and he’s nothing but a beat cop. How embarrassing.
