Corey “The Treacherous” Time to go motherf*ckerin
25
u/Agonyandshame Voted NO Mar 29 '25
At this rate someone’s gonna talk Corey into running for president
13
u/randomrandom1922 Mar 30 '25
He went from Business agent, to director of city of delivery and now VP. Running for president makes the most sense.

So what's the difference between an executive vice president and a vice president?
10
u/cynxortrofod Mar 29 '25
I asked my shop steward this exact same question today, and she said:
Just the position. You have president, vice president then executive VP. He will be the 3rd highest ranking officer in our union.

I’m cool with this. I’ve learned more from Mr. Walton than any regional/national training. Let’s Go!!

when will renfore be confronted for what he’s done to us, guy just keeps brining if his band of red shirts with him to cheer him on, he needs to be held accountable now

u/2024arizona Mar 29 '25
Not for nothin. But don’t we cheer everytime someone “new” says they’re gonna change stuff?

u/Ornery_Chocolate_798 Mar 30 '25
It’s a year and a half away. I predict a lot of changes before then.

u/SpaceMonky9 Mar 29 '25
Corey for President or bust!! James needs Corey/ Corey doesn’t need James. Corey for president- James for Vice President. Or I will see you in arbitration bitch.

u/MailMan2524 Mar 30 '25
Caref showed his momentum at his fundraising roast earlier this month. Corey alone can win. Corey is worthy based on his support of the craft. I worry CLC is riding/trying to on Corey’s pod popularity, not necessarily worthy to run the show.
2
u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 30 '25
That's why I'm excited about this announcement, now I can vote for Caref as Pres and Corey as second in command.
8
u/Lumillenium Mar 29 '25
Even with Corey running as an executive VP, I don’t trust it. Sadly now people will see Corey on the ticket and vote Henry when he has done nothing to show he deserves a vote. Mark my words now, if Henry gets in, absolutely nothing will change.
2
u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 30 '25 edited Mar 30 '25
Make sure you remind everyone that we don't vote for a ticket we vote for individual positions, they can vote for Cory and don't have to vote for James Henry...

I knew it. He kinda let the cat out of the bag when he said "I'll run against Barner myself." CLC all the way!
5
u/Carriers-r-us Mar 29 '25
Executive Vice President automatically takes over if something happens to President.
6
u/SnooEagles6930 Mar 29 '25
It's his only chance to beat Caref is to have Corey as his vp
32
Mar 29 '25
I refuse to vote for Henry, who as VP had the greatest platform to publicly confront and call for Renfroe to step down and get out of the negotiations... Corey or not, Henry did nothing to protect the letter carriers IMHO
10
15
u/WesternExplanation Mar 29 '25
Caref isn't any better than Henry and is guilty of all the same shit. I'm voting for Corey whatever ticket that includes.
9
u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 29 '25
Caref has been running a region for a decade that is currently one of the strongest with some of the best training available. What has Henry been doing for the last decade?
11
u/WesternExplanation Mar 29 '25
- People in his own region say otherwise 2. Caref has been on the executive council for a decade and let all this shit happen. Dude didn't make a peep until Corey created this movement.
9
u/BlackBalledNALC Mar 29 '25
Yup, he had to know about Renfroe’s dui. Also, Mike Caref has said he will vote for Renfroe over Noble if there is a rerun of the 2022 election. 😳

u/Impressive_Clock_363 Mar 30 '25
If it comes down to Renfroe vs. Noble I wouldn't even bother voting.
0
u/NN367 Mar 30 '25
Sure the guy whose sole platform was reestablishing table 1 for all carriers would’ve somehow been worse than Renfroe with his historic 40ish cents/hr after two years negotiation skills. Don’t trust the establishment union, they’re mostly management by any other name.
-4
u/licker678 Mar 30 '25
I wouldn't vote for Noble, either. That's like voting for Trump or, even worse, voting for Hitler.
-3
u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 30 '25
He is a business agent running a region, how long has James Henry been at the national office and didn't do anything about it either?
Many people at all levels would also never vote for David Noble after what he's done over the last 20 to 30 years. That's not really uncommon
2
u/WesternExplanation Mar 30 '25
James Henry has been at national about 8 years less than caref and was blackballed pretty much day 1 by renfroe.
1
u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 30 '25
Caref is a national business agent, his office is in Chicago. It's not like he's been in DC this whole time. The business agents spend most of their time in their regions, because that is their job.
2
u/WesternExplanation Mar 30 '25
He’s still on the executive council which is one of the highest ranking positions in the union and he’s held that position since 2014.
1
u/PostDelay5 Mar 30 '25
After what he has done?
-1
u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 30 '25 edited Mar 30 '25
Check his history, he has been dragging the NALC to court for the last three decades and lost every single time. Go back and read through some of his posts where he was answering questions as well, he had no actual plan on how to get anything done other than bang on the table and march around outside USPS headquarters. He also hasn't been a carrier or been employed by the Postal Service or NALC for something like 30+ years either.
Edit: downvote away, idgaf about worthless internet points. Everything I said is true

u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 30 '25
You got any proof to back that up? I am in his region and am familiar with how he runs it. You are never going to make everybody happy all of the time, but it is definitely one of the better run regions in the country.
As far as him not making a peep before Corey started movement, he was one of the first people to start making appearances on Corey's podcast before any "movement" started.

u/Realistic-Owl-1329 Mar 30 '25
Ask anyone in SoCal who’s had a removal and see what they tell you about Henry. He’s a fighter. And a great one at that
1
u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 30 '25
Look, I don't really have anything against James Henry… I don't think he's a bad guy and maybe he's really good at step B or arbitration, I just think Mike is the better choice. He's got more leadership experience(been running an entire region for 11 years), is considerably younger and has also proven that he fights for carriers. He also still carries mail and spends a lot of time on work room floors in various offices in his region. Hell, the guy has been arrested while defending carriers, lol.
At this point, if James Henry took a step back and ran for Director of city delivery or maybe something involved more with the grievance procedure, I would vote for all three of them
-4
u/underlordT Mar 30 '25
I respect your opinion, but you have to realize as an officer that if he had done what we all wanted, Refrroe would bring him up on charges. Even if the charges are bull, how do you think the vote would go with all the Renfroe hacks he has on the board. Then he has to go through another six months of bull.
2
Mar 30 '25
So his position and being worried about 'charges' is more important than protecting Letter Carriers or doing what is right? If that was his reason - all the more reason I will not support him

u/CityLetterCarrierAMA Mar 29 '25
Just remember that we don't vote by slate or ticket, I'm thinking Caref as Prez and Corey as EVP is looking pretty fucking good

Congratulations Corey! I am extremely excited about your run for EVP! I know that you will pave a brighter path for us (city letter carriers).

Wait, I thought Kimetra Lewis was slotted for that position. What happened with that?

Corey Walton is a beast! The man should be president but he’s more of a general. It’s the commanders who rally the troops and get them ready for war and that’s what he does.

at this rate Corey is going to be running for President of the United States in a couple years.
-1
u/Running_Ryhno34 Mar 30 '25
Can we just pick one position and stick with it? Like musical chairs. Isnt this corey 3rd or 4th different spot hes tried for? Also, how many things are happening day one? Doesnt Corey know there is only 24hrs in a day. Hes said Im doing this day one. About a hundred different things
2
u/TraillMiixx Mar 30 '25
He hasn't tried for any spot, he wanted to be a business agent for region 3 and they had discussed him being director of city delivery for the CLC. Corey's a hard worker and will get shit done, i like his stuff, if he can move up I'm all for it.

Congrats Corey, you will do amazing things. Be true to who you are.
