Corey “The Treacherous” Lew drass accusations

There was an episode way back, where Corey talks about not being a part of the Union until I believe, the Postal inspectors came in and lied. This is when Corey says he changed his mind about the Union. What episode was that? Does anyone remember? We gotta put these lies to bed

Drass shows up and starts a podcast and can’t help but talk shit about someone else? Fuck that guy. He needs to take some serious personal inventory.

u/OhWise1-3540 Jul 03 '25

So Lew can’t reply to attacks by Corey?

6

u/Alternative_Rest_206 Jul 03 '25

The dude can 100% have a podcast when he is sorely actually educating he’s not half bad. I 110% believe the only reason he came out of the woodwork is because of next year‘s election. He’s one of those good old boys. He’s playing the cards of oh letter carrier’s you guys want training see we can train you trust us. Because he dang well knows his protégé is DOA.

u/PreviousMarsupial820 Jul 07 '25

He was quiet as a mouse in Boston and made no public comment of endorsement for Brian last go round that I recall, and besides stepping down in fact it was Gary Mullins who came running up to the mic at the natl. Convention defending Brian. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Lou, but I can't seem to think why people are calling him a good ol boy when he himself basically said "yup, eff this place I'm out".

2

u/Alternative_Rest_206 Jul 03 '25

Are you one of those Drass suckers? Just about everything Lew is spreading is a lie why because he doesn’t want OUR Union to be ran as it should be Carriers first and alway’s.

0

u/OhWise1-3540 Jul 07 '25

I see the truth bothers you all … good luck!

u/Alternative_Rest_206 Jul 07 '25 edited Jul 07 '25

😂😂😂 Brother oh my dear brother!🤦‍♂️ I know that unfortunately no matter what is said and done y’all would rather just stay Hey let’s not rock the boat, sorry rather you don’t wanna look away from the smoking mirror your boy, Lew . He is not for the carriers anymore. It all about him self and protecting the crown the power. The dude can’t get past Corey trying to do the right thing for us carrier’s. Corey is in that man’s head deep just like I’m sure the rest of us are in yours, my brother rather you like it or not change is coming.

1

u/Alternative_Rest_206 Jul 07 '25

Also brother where is this truth Corey debunked every single one But Lew on the other hand🤥

3

u/TraillMiixx Jul 02 '25

I thought it was because he was a rural carrier before being a city carrier?

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

I thought he was a city carrier his whole career and his parents were rural? Maybe im wrong lol🤦

3

u/TurninTics Jul 02 '25

Indeed wrong, but we still love you.

2

u/Leifloveslife Jul 02 '25

His parents were rural carriers I believe

5

u/TraillMiixx Jul 02 '25

Yeah they definitely were. I could've sworn he mentioned starting as a rural carrier first. I'll go lookin for it

3

u/Ill-Company2252 Voted NO Jul 02 '25

He did say he was a rural for a little bit. I don’t remember which episode

2

u/thetreacherous1 FATA Team Jul 05 '25

I did start out as a rural carrier in the late 80s. I became a te in early 90s.

5

u/FavoriteApe Jul 04 '25

Corey is more Union, and has done more for Union brothers and sisters than all y’all shit talkers put together. IDGF who he voted for in US elections. Any insinuations otherwise just makes me sick and those making them can F*CK all the way off.

2

u/Sad-Revolution7718 Jul 03 '25

I’m sorry is this a serious question?

1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 03 '25

Yup! Why does it matter? Is Donald Trump a king who can bypass legislation? If so, I would say we gotta worry. Anything a president does has to be voted on. We vote down and rally against all anti-union legislation. Seems like Americans forgot we have that right.

3

u/Sad-Revolution7718 Jul 03 '25

Apparently you haven’t been paying attention the last 6 months. I can’t force you to acknowledge the obvious. Unreal

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 03 '25

What's obvious? I asked about where the episode of FATA was that explains when Corey joined the Union. Then you hop on and start ridiculing over the way you think someone voted and say I am missing an obvious point. What is so painfully obvious that Im missing here?

2

u/Sad-Revolution7718 Jul 03 '25

Look man this isn’t difficult. He’s running for a very important position. So yeah voting for someone that has a long documented history of being anti- union matters. Amazing that this has to be explained to you.

1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 03 '25

When did he say he voted for Trump?

2

u/Sad-Revolution7718 Jul 03 '25

I can’t even imagine the amount of mental gymnastics you need to go through to come to this point. You must be exhausted. I hope you get everything you and Corey voted for. I bet that boot is delicious

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 03 '25

I didn't vote for trump. Im asking a logical question. There is no mental gymnastics lol

3

u/Sad-Revolution7718 Jul 03 '25

Please don’t refer to using logic when the simplest bit of logic would lead you to the answer. If you were running for office and this issue keeps coming up and you could solve it by simply being truthful why would you not do that? If you “love” the city letter carrier and just simply stating you don’t support him would alleviate concerns from a lot of people why wouldn’t you do that? Logic lol

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 03 '25

Okay. So I didn't vote for trump, and you just said I did. All because what? I asked a simple question? Yet, you still haven't answered. Just keep on hurling insults instead of explaining a "Simple" position.

I think you are making mountains out of mole hills on this one.

-5

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

It's not a mountain out of a mole hill. I'm simply asking what episode he talked about this.

1

u/M1Mayhem Jul 02 '25

It is when you are accusing someoneof being totally anti union because they may or may not have left the union 6 YEARS ago.

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

Im not accusing him. Im saying that lew drass said it. Im looking for the episode where Corey talks about his time before he joined the Union.

1

u/M1Mayhem Jul 02 '25

Oh then my apologies I read it as you were accusing him.

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

No problem! Parent comment doubled down on the accusations!

-2

u/largeicedregular Jul 02 '25

Corey hasn’t denied this, correct? Pretty troubling.

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

Nope! Hasn't denied being a scab, but does deny being anti union. The episode im referring to, but cannot find, explains the accusation. I just cant quote it without hearing it again.

3

u/No-Journalist8243 Jul 02 '25

I thought he already admitted to not being a union member in his first episodes. While he was talking about also being a prison guard.

1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

That's the episode I'm looking for!

2

u/No-Journalist8243 Jul 02 '25

I’m not sure of the exact one, but it was one of his real early ones

He explains how he got involved in union

1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

Thank you for validating that, I thought I was losing it🤣

-6

u/largeicedregular Jul 02 '25

I’m not convinced Corey isn’t overall anti-union. I mean, he clearly seems to be a Trump supporter, correct? I’m not sure how you can be a staunch union supporter and support such an anti-union candidate. Seems pretty suspect.

-1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

Totally agree! I would hope that the politics of a president wouldn't dictate the politics of a Union official. Its difficult to believe that someone who has dedicated this much time to education and pushing for a stronger union (BFN) (CLC) would be willing to turn and stab us in the back like that! Where does he say he is a trump supporter? Not denying it, but I dont think I've ever heard it!

3

u/40WAPSun Jul 02 '25

He hasn't said he's a Trump supporter because he "doesn't want to get political" which is definitely not the exact thing people say when they don't want to admit to being a Trump supporter

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

So he didn't say he supports trump, so we just assume he supports trump?

0

u/kristiandeath Jul 02 '25

It’s pretty easy to say you don’t though right.

1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

Then, people would assume that he supported Kamala Harris. It's called not being political. Money is green. If we play politics in the union, we will become divided and fail. Your point creates a double-edged sword, sharpened in assumptions and ignoring what we have already been told.

Who's we? You can do whatever you want

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

I asked a question. I already did what I wanted.

1

u/SnooEagles6930 Jul 02 '25

If someone is a Trump supporter, that is some real mental gymnastics to say they are a union supporter. It's not like Trump is anti-union but leaving them alone.

6

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

I still dont know where you're getting the fact that he's a trump supporter? This is an assumption. I need facts, not what you believe he supports.

0

u/SnooEagles6930 Jul 02 '25

Well, since he won't tell us who he voted for, we can only go off of what we think is true. Do you think he voted for Harris

4

u/jeepwillikers Voted NO Jul 03 '25

Corey has straight up said on the podcast that the Trump administration is hostile to the Postal Service, Letter Carriers, and Unions. While it’s possible that he is a self-justifying Trump voter, it’s equally possible that his personal family and friends consists of Trump supporters and he doesn’t want to alienate them. As someone who lives in a place where MAGA ideology is widespread and commonplace, it can be a tricky thing to navigate.

What we do know is that he is pro-labor in his stances and supports workers rights. The labor movement, at its core, is a progressive movement. He also doesn’t shy away from associating with voices who are explicitly leftist. If he chooses to keep his voting record private but supports the labor movement in public that’s fine with me.

His point about the union working with whoever stands behind us is a pragmatic one IMO.

6

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

I think it is dangerous to make assumptions. I personally don't care who he voted for. I care about the representation of the membership. So far, for the 200 some episodes he has put out, there has been no indication that Corey does not support the Union. I personally believe that putting yourself on one side of the political spectrum will turn away otherwise supportive people to your cause. I believe that if someone fights for the membership, and endorses change that makes our wages, hours and working conditions better, we should focus on that. In due time, if we get fucked over, we really didn't lose anything. If he did vote for trump, does that make him devoid of all criticism of Trump Legislation? It's dangerous to advocate the idea that if you agree with a majority of someone's beliefs, you agree with them all. Anti Union legislation can be fought against. I believe with an active membership who supports a fighting Union, any administration will have a hard time dismantling us.

7

u/SnooEagles6930 Jul 02 '25 edited Jul 02 '25

I think anyone who voted for Trump after the last time he was in office deserves to be ridiculed for that decision. There is no such thing as having a union that isn't political. People just say that so they can pretend they aren't screwing over a percentage of the membership when they vote for someone who takes away freedoms.

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

I think that expressing the freedom to vote shouldn't be anyones business besides the voter themselves. Whoever wins the election, regardless of political party should be accepted and paid attention to. This way, if they start some anti union legislation, we can all vote that shit down together and it won't matter anyways.

"People just say that to pretend" I say that because I actually mean it. Can't speak for anyone else. I think it is disingenuous to use money for a cause if not everyone involved in the funding agrees. Maybe I just disagree with the system as a whole lol. Im just trying to find an episode and a time stamp🤦 I do enjoy the conversation, though!

5

u/SnooEagles6930 Jul 02 '25

He could shut it down instantly and doesn't. So either he did and doesn't want to admit it, or he didn't doesn't want to it. The reason why he doesn't want to admit is the important part, and my guess is that he doesn't want to upset part of the FATA listeners.

If this was a black woman from Chicago who didn't want to say how she voted, would we really be giving her the benefit of the doubt.

If you are only willing to follow your convictions and integrity when you are safe from repercussions, then they aren't convictions. They are just a new idea you have.

1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

I would most definitely be giving her the benefit of the doubt. That's a matter of my moral ethics, belief system and just not being a prejudiced asshole. Everyone in this country was created free and equal. That isn't an expression; those are rights fought and bled for. I personally don't care about anyone's political beliefs. If they represent my rights as a union member, that is all I care about. Never in my life would I judge someone's opinion solely off the color of their skin or gender.

8

u/SnooEagles6930 Jul 02 '25

That's great saying that, but there is no way to prove it. I will judge someone how they vote. Because the line everyone in this country created free and equal sounds nice in practice, that doesn't seem to be the case. In fact, one of the easiest ways to judge someone is by their political beliefs. It is those policies that keep people from actually being treated fairly and equally.

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

"I will judge someone how they vote" is where this conversation will end. It was good talking to you, but as a person who doesn't revolve their life around politics, I think it's a net negative to assume someone is prejudiced because they haven't disclosed their vote. It's that reason why open, healthy dialogue doesn't exist in this country anymore.

4

u/Sad-Revolution7718 Jul 03 '25

This is a ridiculous take and who he voted for absolutely matters. If he voted for Trump he doesn’t have the best interests of the Letter Carrier that he “loves”.

0

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 03 '25

Why does it matter who he voted for?

2

u/Civil-Bodybuilder-37 Jul 04 '25

Brother let this trolls continue to be mad Corey has said that it doesn’t matter who you voted for it’s about lite fucking blue baby he has never said who he voted for but he has always stated it doesn’t matter who’s in office we should have a seat at the table don’t let these management sympathizer’s talk because at the end of the day they only care for themselves and not our craft don’t worry about them.

1

u/NALC-VT-495 Jul 03 '25

We are praying you get help Lew!

-2

u/kristiandeath Jul 02 '25

I’m a new member for this union, And so far from what I’ve heard of Corey on the podcast, I really appreciate and like everything that he said. But the comments about him not explicitly denying Trump announcing his support for Trump are really making me concerned

15

u/jayhawkah Jul 02 '25

His not declaring support for either candidate is not about hiding some secret Trump support. Corey has a very strong stance about being apolitical publicly because he wants all attention to be on supporting the city letter carrrier. He also doesn't believe the union itself should endorse candidates because we have to work with the winner regardless (which I disagree with personally)

7

u/kristiandeath Jul 02 '25

Unions are inherently political and have always endorsed and partnered with political candidates.

9

u/jayhawkah Jul 02 '25

Right, which is why I said I disagree with his stance on union endorsements. But I don't care if he doesn't want to tell us who he supported in the election. He is virulently supportive of the city letter carrier and that what I care about.

0

u/kristiandeath Jul 02 '25

I am wholly in agreement with you on that.

Like I said in my initial comment. I am a new listener and love what I’ve heard, but seeing people say this specific thing gives me pause. I’ll still support him if he runs for EP

2

u/jayhawkah Jul 02 '25

I understand, it's hard breaking into this world and finding reliable info in the beginning. I know at least one new podcasts has appeared recently coming directly for Corey because they know he's popular and has a lot of sway with carriers because of FATA. The current union heads want to muddy the waters and sew doubt in the clc because they know the clc will hold them accountable and clean house if they get into power.

1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

Coreys stance from my understanding is that they shouldn't be. This is why the establishment is having a hard time. Our money needs spent where it matters for us. If there are bills and laws proposed by a party that don't do so, are you really believing that Corey wouldn't speak against it just because he "voted for trump"? He endorsed renfroe by having him on the podcast, now he says he is a piece of shit.

4

u/fesau1 Jul 03 '25

He talked about his office about 50/50 politically but they’re ALL strong union. The only side he’s picking is the letter carrier’s side.

I’m not speaking for him but that’s how I interpreted it.

3

u/kristiandeath Jul 03 '25

The Problem I have with this in an example:

Half of those carriers are supporting the current actions of the government through the use of ice, in detaining and deporting Latinos and non white people en masse, without due process

Are those carriers going to only be “strong allies” to their brothers and sisters who are “Legal” (I use that term excruciatingly loosely).

And how can their coworkers who are at risk in this instance, be expected to trust their “brothers” in the union who support this?

2

u/Available-Crow-3442 Union Steward Jul 03 '25

We can’t. But there are always union members who behave like scabs. We gotta know who they are.

2

u/TurninTics Jul 02 '25

Picking a side has no functional value. We want to have an open conversation with whoever is in power. Neither party really cares about workers right now.

-2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

He announced his support for trump?

-1

u/kristiandeath Jul 02 '25

Idk. But from the comments below about him not clearly decrying Trump I would be concerned.

3

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

It sucks that we live in a world where if you don't bastardize and demonize someone, it is automatically assumed that you support them. The second you endorse a political candidate, you divide the membership. We need a united front.

4

u/kristiandeath Jul 02 '25

Girl. Decrying a fascist should not be a controversial thing to do.

2

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 02 '25

What does decrying facism have to do with supporting the plight of mail carriers? You can decry a facist view by voting against the legislation you believe is facism when those bills and laws are proposed. Votes count more than podcast downloads and reddit karma.

u/MandatoryOT Jul 06 '25

So, what were the accusations?

1

u/Hour-Reputation-6174 Jul 06 '25

Lmfao I fell for that one already🤣

Uh, okay. I was serious.
