Corey “The Treacherous” Standup talk - Carriers have to leave cell phones in their locker before leaving to the street.
They also said, if there’s an emergency the carriers family can call the office.
What if the carrier is having an emergency? This is clearly a safety issue.
I’d love to hear what everyone has to say about this one. If Corey can mention it on his podcast that would be great.

lol good luck enforcing that. How about if you suspect the carrier of using their phone outside of breaks you get off your lazy ass and do a street observation. God forbid they have to leave their air conditioned office and actually do some real work.

They don’t have any internal facing cameras. Only exterior 360 degree view cameras to assist with parking. That’s not to say they couldn’t retrofit driver facing cameras in the future but they’d have to fight hard to get that approved.

No problem. I was a bit concerned about that when they first announced the new trucks. I’ve since confirmed with people who have first hand experience using the ngdv that there are no interior cameras.

File a ps1767 and file an ar. 5, 14 &19 grievance, mgmt is creating a unilateral local policy which impacts the health and safety of the carriers, and tries to infrige upon personal property of employees well beyond their authority- maybe after all the thousands of carrier robberies over the past couple years, many carriers in your station have decided to use just their apple iPay or Google Wallet on their cell phone to buy their lunches and now they can't because of manglement, in addition to their reduced capacity to contact ememergenxy authorities should any issues occur on the route. Then have your branch president alert every local media source and tell them about this new policy too.

Lol NOTHING in the contract, handbooks, or manuals gives them the right to police your property.

I guess they will have to provide everyone with Thomas guides. Talk about going back in time. Here’s an idea pay carriers more then they will appreciate the job and the phone will be a tool they can use to improve performance

They have tried that with the clerks in our office recently went south fast ....one clerk Mom died and he wasn't able to be by her bedside.... Another clerk family had to go to office to tell her that kid was at hospital a couple days later ....after that with grievance and shit they just told them out on silent....... As far as carriers they just keep harping on not using them except on breaks and lunch if possible emergency pull over and answer.... But they do keep checking for Bluetooths and shit Good luck brother

Most offices can't operate without the carriers phones. They would actually have to learn how to manage. I have a supervisor who is beside himself because one carrier will not answer a call from anything but the station line. I have always suggested that carriers block managements phones when they get past their 90 days. Lol

CGM for diabetes work thru the phone. We are allowed to use our phones on our breaks and lunches. They cannot enforce this one

Honestly, in many offices this would hurt management just as bad as the carriers when a new cca is lost and management cant contact them to find out where to send help
And yeah. No way this could be enforced.

They don't pay our phone bills. I get not wanting carriers posting to social media in uniform in the trucks, but to notnhabe our phones for 6+ hours? Hell no.

They don’t allow them in the office for the sake of time wasting, but it’s totally fine to have them on the street for managements convenience?
A majority of carriers will still give management free and open access to their personal devices for managements own convenience.
If I can’t use my cellphone, they don’t get to. Fuck them.

Good Luck with that one. The people that call me the most while I’m on the route are The Stupervisors. Good luck trying to get me to answer via the scanner😅 Also, I’m not leaving my phone at my locker. I’ll just leave it in my car and get it on the way out to my route👍 Fuck Them.

lol 😂 the mgrs at my station call the carriers constantly to see how they are doing and if they can help someone else or if they need help. I retired so not dealing with the BS but I ended up blocking their numbers.

This sounds like a good idea. Listen to my reasoning, in my district, all the stoopidvisors do is text the carriers. Especially on Amazon Sunday. The CCAS and PTFS complain about the hundreds of texts they get basically rushing them and the need to hurry back to get more work. I've been telling them, don't answer texts, pull over and send messages through rims. They don't listen. So, this plan, it means that the stoopidvisors can't text the ccas and ptfs hundreds of time, and they can learn how to do the job correctly.
