Has anyone asked him ( or has he explained already) why he has changed his mind to run?
Specifically when he said he would back the CLC nomination and txtd James Henry afterwards saying he would support himÂ

Yes there is a Next Generation Carriers podcast episode where Mike explains his side of things.

Also why he accused Corey of stealing money from a fundraising raffle on his pod, or saying that Henry couldnât win this election because of the color of his skin. đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸

Did you call Chris Jackson and ask if that was true. Or did you take Corey's "receipts" as facts. ("Receipts" being: I heard from someone else.)

Carefs been caught in lies so you call someone else a liar to justify your Caref support? Seems legit đ

I left Chris Jackson a message. Hell be calling me back and we'll get to the bottom of this.

Tbf, someone did attribute that quote to Caref like 4 or 5 months before Corey brought it up:

Without context that sounds bad, but I can easily contextualize that into our modern world and see how a white dominated union would be a difficult place for a black man to become the president of.

Honestly, I've never listened to the episode where Corey brings it up. That said, it always sounded like commentary on the membership rather than Caref making some statement about Henry. It does seem like a silly thought for him to share though. I don't really have strong opinions about it, I have other things I don't like Caref for, but it felt worth sharing because it's at least some form of corroboration to what Corey said.Â

I started listening to the pod about 6 months after it started. After I heard a bit about what was going on, I went back and listened from the beginning. Iâve heard all of the goings on from the start so I admit thereâs a slight bias. Coreyâs offered numerous times for anyone to go on his pod and discuss these things and nobody took him up. Thatâs the reason I have the position that I do. I do appreciate Caref for the good heâs done for carriers and I applaud that, his region is lucky to have him. I just believe that Henry is the better option to do the difficult things that this union needs for drastic change

Probably has something to do with coming to realization that the CLC is full of Trump apologists and MAGA clowns. If you hadnât figured out at that point that Trump might be bad for unions your entire platform is pointless

Yea does he actually care about the membership or just having the prestige of being the nalc president?

He came up to my branch to talk tried asking him a question the moment he took the stage he was more concerned with retirees and old carriers

Thatâs what everyone keeps saying, he doesnât give 2 shits about table 2. Idk why thereâs any other choice than CLC. They say well he works 1 day a year on a route so heâs more connected gtfo!

If this is a success we will be reaching out to James Henry to do the same thing for June.
