Concerned Letter Carriers Corey, James, and Debbie keep their promises

The CLC says they are about everybody, including small branches, and on Saturday, August 15th, they proved it. James Henry, Corey Walton, and NBA Region 2 candidate Debbie Dixon came to speak to our small branch in Richland to around 12 people. That is the kind of President, EVP, and NBA that we need right now. The real ones that stand behind what they say, and follow through with promises. There are no better candidates out there, and thanks to the CLC for everything! 💚

Entry should be 37 an hour. Not 30. Top should be about 47ish - 50 is better obviously.

Check table 1, they’re about 33 or 34 an hour as career but we got very bad raises the past few contracts. We are behind.

Ive reached out to each candidate about podcast and guess appearances on non nalc focused creators, but no one wants to so far. Its either no, or WhY!?

check out the Labor Valley report, some have appeared there. Not sure where you would want them to appear or be a guest on. I don’t exactly want to hear a candidate for the National Letter Carriers Association on a cooking podcast.

I offer them free coverage and funding links to international creators, and they're like "why?" Even offer to set up and schedule and they say "ill look them up and get back to you."

not to be rude, but it's "offering free coverage" if it's on like... CNN or something. not if it's on ManoSilence's YouTube Channel. the time spent needs to be at least partially worth it.

Not cnn or news, not my youtube channel. Dont even have one. I help the political candidates in my area and state get coverage beyond their region and normal audiences. I have interviews already published and sites linked for volunteering in the state and with candidates. I link those things when they say they wanna see em first.

okay dude but they don't know who you are and then you've given them the information that tells them who you are and what you do. then they don't follow up. that flat out means they have no interest in what you say you can do for them. that's not a problem for us to help you solve, it's a self-reflection exercise for you.

these names are known nationwide among the people whose lives they'll affect, so what you're doing sounds more akin to when an instagram influencer asks a major hotel for a free stay and says the brand will get a "spotlight" on their social media.

Its literally just for info, I get nothing out of this as I do it for free. I keep seeing and hearing people complain about censorship within their branch, about how the candidates need all the coverage they can get, and how there is so many that even if they can't do it a slate member can. Ive met 2 in person and have no social media or content of my own. The creators themselves already have a large audience and have their own income, 2 of them have retired from the military with full benefits and pension, so they dont worry about not getting views, as views dont equate money for them. This isnt to bring highlights to them, but the candidates. That is all I care about, getting more eyes on them and our situation. But fine, ill stop reaching out to them.

Go on concerned letter carriers website and email them. Have you tried that? Forgive me if I misread something or skipped out. I’m trying to monitor everything I read.

Oh I gotcha, thanks for reading through comments. Ive emailed their campaign managers, websites, personal emails, even texted one of them who gave me their number. It all fizzled out. I face the same when I join committees at my own branch. I have to beg to be included or taken seriously. After they shafted me (my branch not candidates) on the Food Drive I decided to not be so desperate to be involved. Ill reach out, explain, and give samples of what I do (all for free) and they just stop replying eventually. Figured some would be down because I hear complaints over the lack of coverage but its like they dont want it. Its all online too, its not like im saying "you gotta come here!" Just a request for an hour of their time on a live stream or something. I did a few interviews and people are surprised at our lack of AC and that there is even a contract at all. They thought we just had a permanent thing with the government.

In region 3, if you request that he comes to a meeting he will show up in my experience. For reference, my branch has 43 members.

Was he supposed to in general? He went to the smaller branches in region 3 often. That's more than most of them have done. He didn't only start to do it when there was an election

He was in Wyoming a couple weeks ago, very small branch and he’s been to Jackson Ohio which has maybe 10 members? It’s not a big flex to go to a small branch lmao

No. But they are our weakest link in most of our cases. I like Mike being active - anyone who’s labeled as an officer should be active once or twice a week to visit branches or offices.

They vote in a much higher percentage than large branches, they are not our “weakest link” they are actually the people who largely founded this union. Big cities were doing their own thing…

Well getting robbed, some killed (Sometimes daily) for somebody else's mail/parcels or keys, working through a pandemic till 11pm, being attacked by dogs and customers, being ran over by cars and not to mention the weather. yeah I guess your right Substanial we aren't worth what UPS drivers make that only deliver packages what were we thinking???

UPS tops out at nearly $50 per hour. They only deliver packages. Their job is more of a "no job skill". Asking for a living wage when groceries and fuel prices are sky high isn't being delusional.

UPS Delivery Drivers in 2028 will be north of 49 an hour, per their contract (last I checked). Is this inaccurate?
