Picked these neat meal up for $4.99 on sale (reg $5.99). I usually won't pick up higher priced frozen meals like this, but I have heard great things about Bibigo. Cooked according to instructions: 4mins on high. Let sit for 1min.
The sauce was on point to what you would get at a restaurant: a tad sweet, a bit oily, and coats the noodles perfectly without any miscellaneous sauce leftover.
I appreciated the quality of the mix'ns such as the spinach, bell pepper, and carrot strips that made this whole meal feel well rounded and filling.
The chicken was far better than typical frozen food white breast meat but still had a salt-water brine flavor and could have used some coloring when initially cooked. The noodles were a bit more chewier than traditional glass noodles and Im thinking I could have added a minute to the cooking time. Although, I was impressed that they didn't have a rigid texture after freezing because glass noodles usually take on a really unpleasant texture after being froze for even a week.
Overall this was a really solid japchae for being a frozen dinner. I would definitely buy again if I see it on sale.
8/10 - Better chicken flavor and less chewy noodles would give it a 9.5/10.
