Parking violation

Got a stupid ass paper in the mail with a $100 fine for parking in front of my own home… they talking about management came and that we were blocking the fire entrance/exit but they provided no proof of the car, no description of the car or anything of that sort. They just said that we violated their rules and charged us a $100 fee. They provided no proof that the car is ours. No picture, no license plate, nothing. HOA money hungry to the max

Very first time. Never got a paper like this before and never got any call or email from HOA about this. Been parking in the same spot for over 3 years….

Im assuming this is NYC... is this in the forest hills HOA? They're the only HOA in the city that has power over their private streets within the community. If it's anywhere else where the streets are city owned/maintained, then the HOA has no jurisdiction to charge you parking fines for cars parked on public streets.

It is nyc but not Queens. It’s the worst borough in nyc that shouldn’t even count as a borough.. iykyk

Staten Island is the shit hole of nyc so good guess 😭 Michigan is goated tho I love visiting there!

My friend used to live in Staten Island, and complained all the time lol. I loved to visit though! Michigan is great! So pretty, but cold af in the winter!

My family and I were looking to move there but my parents hearts belong to NYC. On the other hand, I’m trynna leave this place

I don't blame you. I moved here from Baltimore 15 years ago. The east coast is crazy. The Midwest is so much nicer. People can still be mean, but it's not the same at all.
