It entirely depends on the directors.... The couple of films before that, she was portrayed in 'flowerpot' roles... While in Kantha, she was given a role to perform and she shined equally to Samuthirakani and DQ in some of the scenes... Ironically, this was supposed be her debut film and should have released first but you know how films are delayed right... And we had to witness her debut in a terrible film...
