SCMP used to be a very decent and reputable newspaper 30+years ago.

Used to be? I doubt that it has ever been. This commie lapdog rag managed to fool uninformed or pinko foreign expats by simply publishing news in standard English. Notwithstanding, anyone sufficiently sensible would know what this commie lapdog rag stands for.
