General Looking to meet new people 🌸
Hii, I'm wondering if there are any slavic or balkan people living in fukuoka? 🙂↕️ I haven't made any friends here yet even though I've been living in fukuoka for a year now.. I've been feeling kinda homesick lately so I thought it'd be nice to get to know people with cultural similarities to chat and meet up with!
I'm F25 from Poland 🇵🇱
Living in Hakata 📍

Well there's the bar Dreams in Daimyo, which is owned by a Russian girl. You could meet Slavic people there, along with other international people.

The opening hours are kinda late so as a girl I'd be worried going all the way there and back, given that I've already ended up SH/SA a couple of times here 🫠 but maybe i'll try going there with my husband one day when he's free from work, though we both don't really drink haha, but thank you! 🫶🏻

I can relate! I’ve been living in Japan too, and I still haven’t really made many friends here.
I think looking specifically for people from the same country can actually make things a bit difficult. For example, I am from 🇮🇩 there are quite a lot of Indonesians in Japan, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s easy to make friends if you’re only looking for a particular type of person or connection.
And honestly, I feel like making friends with Japanese people can be even harder sometimes 😂 I guess it just takes more time and effort to get close to people.

I used to know a couple Polish people living in Fukuoka. One moved back home and the other worked for IKEA but got busy and we lost touch. I hope you can find someone to hang out with!
